What happened to Vanar Sena after Ramayana?? Not many know what happened to Vanar Sena afterwards. Let’s find out!
An excerpt from the Uttara Kanda of the #Ramayana describes the fate of the various Vanaras post-Ramayana…when Rama was told by #Yama, the #god of death, that his time on #Earth was nearing an end, he prepared to depart the Earth by going into the #Sarayu#river.
When Sugriva heard about this, he put Vali's #son#Angada in charge of the Vanara kingdom of Kishkindha, after which, he and a group of Vanaras went to Ayodhya to join #Rama in departing the Earth.
Lord Ram told #Hanuman, "It is settled that you shall live forever. As long as my #history is spoken in this world, you will also be praised. Being thus addressed by his beloved #Master , Hanuman was #delighted, and said, "As long as the #sacred theme is present in this world, I shall live here, carrying out your command." Thereupon, Hanuman tells #Jambhavan, #Mainda, #Dwrivida and other Vanaras: "As long as the Kali Yuga exists, so will you all live." Thus, while #Sugriva and other Vanaras departed the Earth along with Rama, Hanuman, Jambavan, Mainda, Dvivida, and five other Vanaras (including Nila and Nala), are said to be still alive today.
One of the best things about working at @triple_j for the last few years was getting to not only work with but become close mates with this absolute legend @boneybrooke ... She finished up working there today, and can’t wait to see what she does next. Love ya Jabroni and proud of you as always!!! #yama
- Satya –
I förlåtelsen blommar sanningen.
Att leva i sanning är att följa hjärtats väg.
Att hängivet följa den vägledning du får, i vetskap om att du leds mot ditt syfte här på jorden.
Med kärlek ♥️

“It is important to understand the force of possessiveness, acquisitiveness, and grasping in ourselves as well was our culture. Ironically, it is our inborn wish for a greater being that ignorance turns into a wish, or even a need, for more and more possessions. Unless we see the strength of acquisitiveness in ourselves—for wealth, fame, information, knowledge, experience and approval of others—we will not appreciate the need to struggle against this tendency to rid our psyche of this obstacle." ~Ravi Ravindra

Anyone practice meditating in the early mornings? Even though at first the mind sometimes wants to be lazy and not get up, I do it. It feels so calming and refreshing to just enjoy the silence all around, especially since living in NYC where it can get so loud once the city begins to wake up, quiet time is a real luxury here. added bonus when you allow the mind to rest from all mental activities, creative solutions can emerge, so give your mind a rest go within. 💙💎👁 Fascinated by paintings of Yama-God of Death and the Underworld. ..

#YAMA - 5
Aparigraha ~ Desapego

In the last day of #YamasInYourLife , we'll cover the 5th and final #Yama : #Aparigraha, desisting from piling up or coveting things.⠀
According to Aranya's commentaries to Yoga Sutras, when we acquire objects that supposedly give us enjoyment and pleasure, there is "trouble in trying to preserve them and unhappiness when we lose them". This suffering is due to the attachment to those material things, which is also an expression of the attachment to our material bodies. Attaching to materiality only causes suffering because it reminds us of our inevitable end.⠀
When I moved to my new house last year, I felt overwhelmed after realising how much stuff I had. Even things I had moved with from my previous apartment and that I didn't even know I still had! I decided to purge my belongings and get rid of anything I didn't need and wasn't making me happy ( #mariekondo 💙)Since then, I try to choose carefully what I buy and purge my stuff every now and then, and I love that feeling of lightness this makes me feel ✨⠀
I'm not planning to get rid of anything, but just to stay committed to that new habit of keeping my life light 💫 And to represent Aparigraha, I'm doing a toe stand. I'm actually balancing without hands for 1 second or so, but still not enough for the picture #practiceandalliscoming⠀
Thank you, thank you & thank you to all the hosts and to the generous sponsors. I really enjoyed this challenge, which allowed me to review the Yamas meaning and make my brain work.⠀

Today’s No Drama Yama practice of Ahimsa brought to you by your kindergarten teacher! “If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.” I of course would change the nice to kind. Alas, the point here is, as I’m sure many of you know, words spoken or unspoken, texted, or written can be extremely violent to self and others. So for today’s practice of our Yama I encourage you to notice your words and think about what you are going to say to or about someone or even to or about yourself. My dear friend @mcdowellmama4 reminded me of this fun acronym to get you started.
T is it thoughtful?
H is it helpful?
I is it inspiring?
N is it necessary?
K is it kind?
Once you have taken a beat/breath and thought, If you find the answer is no to any of these questions then begin to see if you can practice the restraint of non-violence by not putting your words out there or finding a way for your words to come from this other fun acronym I learned at yoga teacher training. .
As always with your yoga practice compassionate curiosity, THINK, and HAIL sweet friends! The light in me honors, respects, and loves the light in every one of you...from my heart and soul to yours, namaste! ❤️✨🐓🙏🏻
We steal from other people everyday. When we one-up in conversations, feel superior, boost our ego, are late to appointments, compete in tasks, take someone’s thunder. We steal from ourselves when we feel lacking, when we don’t feel enough, when we don’t pause and run on auto pilot.
Asteya is one of the 10 ethical practices of yoga. It’s one of the first things that turned an awareness light on for both of us. We had no idea when we were in a yoga class and looked at the person across the room who nailed their crow pose, we were stealing from them. Naturally, when we looked at their practice we’d say in our mind “I wish I could do that. I wish I was that good,” and steal not only that light and years of practice from that person but also stealing possibility and potential from ourselves.
This is a powerful practice, non-stealing. When you can admire someone for their accomplishments without feeling like you’re lacking, you show up with a lot more grace and understanding.
Tomorrow we share this tool with you and how it can be practiced in daily life; at home, at work, in the office, in yoga, at the gym, in your relationships✨ •
Ep. 23 drops TOMORROW! YES, for now, we’re back on to EVERY week!!🤟🏼😲🙆🏻♀️
