🏆 Workout session #200 in the books! 🏆
At the beginning of the year I decided to make a commitment to my fitness and set myself a massive goal of completing 200 workouts by the end of the year.
Little did I know at the time, that by May I would be working 2 jobs, 6 days a week from 10am until 11pm...a bit of a wrench in the plans.
Although that would have been a totally acceptable reason to shrink down that goal number, I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could still hit that big 200.
So for the next 8 months, after working my double-shifts, I would come to the gym and train from midnight to around 2am, before finally getting to go home and sleep.
Admittedly, there were a lot of nights when I didn't want to train. When I sat in my car for 30 minutes in the gym parking lot before finally dragging myself into the gym. But those tough days, those are the ones that make you. The ones that prove to yourself that you're far more capable than that inner voice says.
And I gotta say, those were always the best workouts. There's something about laying in bed at night and knowing that you gave it your all, that you pushed yourself past the limits you thought you had.
Nothing feels better than that!
And also there's been a nice side-effect of all this training...I can proudly say that I am currently in the very best shape of my life! 💪
To make a long story short...on November 29th I had the most amazing workout, filled with pride and inner celebration...maybe a little regular celebration too! 🍾
Set goals and crush them...it feels pretty awesome!
