What’s your favourite protein source?
*Swipe for Chicken, Fish and Steak details!🍗🐟🥩 . . ⠀
It’s important to vary your protein sources to get the different benefits from each.
Also, if you can, go with pasture-raised chicken & eggs, grass-fed beef & bison and wild salmon 🍃 It’s not the meat that has inflammatory properties but if they’re fed a diet of grains & antibiotics with little to no sunshine that can be detrimental to your health!❤️
Benefits of the proteins shown:
High protein source, lean, a good source of vitamin B6 & niacin.
High in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, selenium, vitamins B3, B6, B5 and potassium.
High in conjugate linoleum acid which has been shown in studies to lower cancer risk & packed with omega-3 fatty acids & antioxidant vitamins.
A lean source of protein, high in vitamin B12, zinc, selenium, niacin & iron.

One month ago I was sitting in a hospital bed, waiting for it to be 9am so I could start on this journey. It's been a whole month, and definitely not the easiest month. Between the pain of major surgery and trying to figure out this new tool for my body, it's been interesting to say the least. Anyone who thinks this is the "easy way out", clearly has no clue. I still need to change the way I way I eat. I have to make healthy choices, I still need to work out (which is currently exhausting, and basically put me out of commission for 3 days). My tastes have changed, things I once loved my new tiny stomach no longer can tolerate (for now anyways). If I eat or drink too fast or too much i make myself sick for a while after. I'm still learning. I'm so excited to be on this journey. My highest recorded weight was 264.. Granted I was 9 months pregnant, but still. My weight when I started this journey was 247. The day I started my liquid diet (10 days before surgery) I was 242.8. The day of surgery (one month ago today) I weighed in at 232.2. As of today I am 211.8. I have lost 20.4lbs in one month! At times it felt so slow. I stalled for 17 days and didn't lose a thing. (talk about frustrating!) 20lbs in a month is insane! 31lbs in a month+10 days is crazy! I'm so excited for the future. I'm so excited to be able to love myself and enjoy whatever is coming. I can't wait to chase the kids around this summer and not get winded. I'm so happy 💜
Oieee gente ! 🙌🏻
There's something about the new year that causes my clients to seek out desperate weight loss strategies. These strategies are always short lived and any weight that comes off shows back up with a few extra pounds for good measure.
Permanent sustained weight loss success is only possible with a realistic long term plan. An honest look at your relationship with food and your commitment to yourself. This will not be an overnight transformation. I successfully lost 125lbs in 10 months without surgery, detox tea, drugs or gimmicks. I was only able to succeed when I committed to me that I was capable of more. Now, 20 years later I'm helping others achieve their weight loss goals too, reach out for help today!
You deserve to be the best version of you 💯
Disclaimer: This meme is intended for entertainment purposes only and not an actual weight loss plan.
The first version of this got blocked because of the gym’s music in the back ground! 🤷🏻♂️ Week 2 and the @terryhollandswsm power building programme is going well. 🏋🏻♂️ People on here are so helpful pointing out techniques and if I go wrong. The help and advise is appreciated so keep the tips coming! 💪
Under reporting your calories by as little as a latte each day could be the reason why you aren't seeing the results you were hoping for.
You're only cheating yourself. ☕

to #thegirlwho has Friday 💪💪💪💪
Started off Friday morning with a heeeeaaaavvvyy chest and tricep day and woooooooffff. It. Was. Tough. My arms are definitely the weakest part of my body so I felt the burn quick on these! Definitely is a little defeating to have to do push-ups from my knees when I know (in limited quantities) I can do them from my hands, but when you’re targeting the triceps in a push-up... it’s a whollllleeee other story.
Tried journaling last night and while I’m not going to share what I wrote, it felt Incredible. Words just poured out. Mostly a lot of questions of why I am the way I am, lol. But I’m hoping this journaling and continued therapy and a continued healthy lifestyle will help me with my clinical depression and anxiety and help me manage the struggles I’m going through everyday. I’m taking the right steps and that makes me feel even more like “I got this”.
Anyone else finish week 1 of #desbtimeless today? Felt good to accomplish something important while @otfannarbor is closed. Excited for my transformation challenge to start MONDAY! Anyone else in on the @orangetheory transformation challenge?

8lbs down. 2 weeks and 5 days in....almost 3 weeks in....I FEEL AMAZING!!!!! Haven’t felt this good in a while. I broke the bad habits...I stayed consistent, I’m taking a supplement that HELPS IN ASSISTING get the weight loss which curbs my cravings, I AM EATING HEALTHY, not starving myself and workout 5 days a week.
If you’ve seen me post about taking supplements, just to clarify, supplements are NOT A QUICK FIX! They assist in weight loss, they aren’t magic...you need to still put in the work. Friday check in:
This week was crazy. I had an allergic reaction on my FACE to a cleanser product!! Benadryl was no help, so I've been on a steroid pack to assist. I'm back to new now! Been a little lazy, too! Only ran twice this week.
One of the more disappointing things is when I weigh midweek and have a big loss, but come weigh in day I'm heavier again. Im VERY aware of my body and how working out affects it, so I know a small increase a day after a good workout is normal for me... But still, it sucks!
2 weeks left to try to hit my additional 11 lbs goal. Any I have remaining rolls over into Feb goals.. working out is easy... Changing my eating habits is whats hard! Gotta stay focused though! 💪 I'll make it.

Anti-acid medication is totally safe, right? 🤔Wrong! Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are great medications when taken under the guidance of a physician for a limited time to heal reflux esophagitis. But I have had patients tell me they’ve been on Nexium for 10 years and never saw a doctor to get checked for vitamin or mineral nalabsorption! I safely transition them off if using nutrition, weight loss & lifestyle changes and do a thorough workup to make sure they aren’t deficient in:
🍎 Vitamin B12
🍎 Vitamin C.
Important to know there are medical conditions like Barrett’s esophagus that require chronic PPI use. Make sure your vitamin & mineral levels are monitored!
