REAL ADVICE: HOW TO GET USED TO LIVING IN THE FOREIGN COUNTRY? 🤷♀️ Part II.
It took me awhile to get used to the new life. What advice can I give to those who are going through the adaptation process?
📚First of all, remember it will be easier eventually.
📚Second, give yourself time to get used to things. It’s ok if in the beginning you will slow down for a while. It’s also important to accept that things which we get used to doing at home without even thinking about them would go slowly in a new place. During my first months in the USA, I spent much more time on grocery shopping than I usually would do. I needed my time to learn new brands and figure out what I really like and prefer. 📚Third, and probably one of the most important for me, is to explore the environment and try to find things which you would really love in your new place. This should be something that can connect you to the place. For me, it was absolutely amazing nature in the area where we live. Later, I found small coffee places and cute breakfast restaurants with food from local farms. 📚Fourth, communicate with people around you. Smile and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it.
📚Fifth, look at your adaptation process as if it is an adventure, a game or a business case. Instead of getting irritated that you can’t find something or don’t understand the mechanics of some process (going to the doctor might be very confusing in the beginning), try to set your mind that you just have to figure it out. Be positive, ask questions, read directions and google things!
Good luck 😊😉👍
🇺🇸 Beautiful, but unwelcome!!! ⚠️ Burmese pythons have become one of the most concerning invasive species in the Florida Everglades. ⚠️ Apparently, folks purchased these snakes as exotic pets and released them into the Everglades when the reptiles were no longer wanted. Because the python have no natural predators in the area, they are multiplying quickly and wiping out several species of small mammals as their population grows. Accordingly, in 2017, the government began programs to incentivize a limited number of “public-spirited” individuals to kill these destructive snakes ($50 for 1st 4 feet and $25 for every additional foot). Note: these photos are of an albino python in the care of Lion Country Safari.

🇺🇸 (1) About a year after I moved abroad, my parents decided to move out of my childhood home in Wisconsin. Of all places they chose to move to Arkansas, probably the most forgettable state (despite having produced a president). I'm still a bit salty about it since I never got to go through my things or say goodbye. But visiting them this summer and seeing how happy they are made me feel better about it. I can also see the appeal given views like this. 🌄
📍 Bull Shoals Lake is a man-made lake created when the river was dammed. There's actually a small town that was drowned in the flooding (all the inhabitants were moved before this was done). The cliffs here are perfect for cliff jumping in the summer, but looked uninviting in December.
🙌🏻6 month before and after🙌🏻 She uses:
Blow out cream
Rejuveniqe Oil added to hair color
Have you wanted your hair to grow more but you are on the hair growth struggle bus?? It happens by so many outside and inside sources.. so why not get a shampoo and other products that can actually remedy this problem.. so why not.. try some for 30 days or get your money back.. on your hair care!! #tuestestimony#preachitgirll

Loooook out Milwaukee, this gal is easing her way back in 💪
As y'all may know, this transition has not been easy.
Pleased to report that I've run the gauntlet of #emotional nonsense from the past week n a half.
Can't say I've won every battle (not everyone you like will like you back...which is...fine 🙄) but I've cleared some #negativeenergy, continued cooking as meditation, and even found a potentially healthy gig 😊
At the end of the madness, I'm exhausted, a tad sad, and mostly impressed with my own ability to push thru.
Which is, I guess, what I'll keep doing.
