I very rarely slow down or take time out during the work week. Well, let’s be honest I rarely slow down period, but especially during the work week. I frequently turn social coffee and lunch invitations down and push them to the weekends so I can concentrate on work and be productive as possible. Then a much needed lunch with this amazing friend, the memorial service of another dear friend’s father and a wedding happened all within the same 36 hours. Nostalgia and all the sentimental feels decided to hit me like a ton of bricks. .
I love the way I work. I love the speed and excitement of it. I love sitting here eating my breakfast and writing these little journal entry posts on a Sunday morning knowing I have to leave my house in 10 minutes for a work shoot. I don’t want to slow down because I’m doing what makes me happy. And I’m so thankful to constantly have these serendipitous moments that remind me of just how lucky I am.
I nerded out SO hard while visiting @swamprabbitcafe in Greenville, SC! This is truly the kind of community space I hope to create one day

In 2019 we are taking Beat Club Podcast Live on the road. We want to come to a city near you but we have a question... what city/state has a big producer community that truly gets involved with the culture? 🤔
Let us know in the comments. Hashtag the city/state! #whereproducersareheard

LINK IN BIO: Why I regret going to a predominately White institution.... why I wish i went to an #hbcu in the #DeepSouth.... I woke up at 6:30am and recorded a voice note for a monologue I wanted to write for this 72 hour film competition @aafca I decided to enter today. And I’ve been wanting to use this footage i shot with @fosslove and @tiathemodel for a long time. So this is a piece of me as a #filmmaker: writer. director. and actor.: and actor is scary to say Bc it feels fake. But the journey to being an actor ends at you... it’s a journey that ends with you shedding all that is not really you... the fake laughs.. the fake smiles... acting taught me truth.. acting taught me how to stand on a stage and be naked. So Idk. Someone said he felt like i was like a “Digital Maya Angelou”... and I was scared to Share that... but that was beautiful and I’m appreciative of that. So I decided to create a YouTube channel. And just post it. Because I have stuff I need to get off my chest. Subscribe. I’ll be doing this as often as I feel the need to speak. I’m nervous. Im scared someone is going to think it’s stupid. Or no one will get it. But I don’t really get it either. I just felt like this matched me. Love you all! ✊🏽 Choe 캐리 LINK IN BIO
