We’re ready to go #sailing again! ⛵️First mate Chewie reporting for main halyard duties 🙋🏼♀️
An update on Nandjis passage, we have sailed 9000 nautical miles in 1.5 years since leaving Australia. ⛵😊 Our path was not a common one, we have been to some extremely remote places. We island hopped the atolls in New caledonia, climbed an active volcano in Vanuatu, spent cyclone season in the Solomon islands only seeing 5 other sailboats in 6 months and explored the outer northern islands of Papua new guinea where they have no access to the outside world. Thanks to everyone who took part in the recent poll in our stories regarding next years passage! It was very intruging.. We will be announcing 2019's passage very soon! Eitherway its about time we crossed a bloody ocean dont you think!?! Yew! GO NANDJI!!!!! ⛵🌍
And that’s how we were 4 years ago, back in Rio de Janeiro, ecstatic with our decision to kick up everything, quit our jobs, buy a boat, learn how to sail and travel the world... Four years later, half way around the world, we look a bit different, at least a lot more tanned, messy hair, a chubby boy 🐶 entered our lives to complete our family, and we continue as happy with our decision!! It was all worth it!! We can only be grateful and wish for many more years of #boatlife ! #sailipanema#celebration#lifechanges#followyourdreams

I can see how urgently important it is: to come to the terms with ourselves, and feel balance and peace ☮️ within... Stop 🛑 the internal war; forgive everyone who cause us pain,
And forgive ourselves...
Let go of our fears and limiting believes... It is the way to freedom, love, happiness and inner peace ☮️ 🙏🏻🤓💕
Panache is a sailing catamaran that has two people on board who love to cook and create. We have been looking for roti everywhere we have traveled. In Vancouver, we buy roti at T and T, an Asian supermarket. Since we haven’t been able to find it in the Caribbean or French Polynesia we found a recipe that we think comes close to the roti that you get in Vancouver in the frozen food section. We normally serve beef Kati that has slim strips of beef tenderloin, green onion, Creme fraiche, roasted red pepper and horseradish in a quarter of a roti and put together with a toothpick. This time we put creme fraiche with salsa and it was yummy. The recipe is from GoodtoKnow in the Uk and is simply called Roti. #svpanache#powellsaroundtheworld#panachearoundtheworld#sailingaroundtheworld#sailing#frenchpolynesia#southpacific#canadian#neverstopexploring#boatlife#boating

Our second post of “Emma on boats” was even MORE successful...so we’re doing it again!
We found a boat that might be “the one.” We are putting in an offer tomorrow—wish us luck! If all goes well the “Emma on boats” series will continue long into the future!

Beautiful day for sailing and us missing the open water as the refit goes on.
Ass: Xerife .
Querem passear conosco?
Eu não mordo e adoro brincar!!!
Here's us longing for Oddity to be ready. Searching high and low for all she's going to need and planning all the alterations to make her a true Blue Water Sailboat that's going to takes us to far away destinations.
Around the world she will go. .
She's a Colvic Countess 33. Built in 1982. Never splashed. Found her abandoned on eBay in a very sad state. Her owner passed away and the widow kept it as a memento mori. Never finished. Hull in prime state. We're building her up into modern standard. She going to have her day in the Ocean. .

The soothing power of the Ocean. Where your soul is free to bathe in the light even on a cloudy day. Where time has no meaning. Just you and the Ocean.

EMERGENCY AT SEA. Selkie taking on water. Part 2

EMERGENCY AT SEA. Selkie taking on water. Rushing to harbour.
We took on quite a bit of water. Battery compartment had the batteries almost fully flooded. We disconnected the leads to avoid electrical fire and short circuits. Both the plastic ball valves, NEW, failed breaking the handles and leaving the emergency bilge pump both manual and electric unable to pump.
Calm and collected we made port without declaring Pan Pan. There were police escort boats guarding an Aircraft carrier nearby in case of immediate danger.
CALM and COLLECTED we assessed the situation took precautionary measures. All Crew With lifejacket and hand held VHF radios.
