T bleef gisteren maar regenen, verzopen katjes waren we. Oprecht maakt het mij weinig uit die regen. Na afloop moet je toch douchen! Ik ben wel heel blij met meerdere paren schoenen, zo kan ik wisselen en heb ik voor de dag daarna gewoon een paar droge schoenen.
Dit waren de crewkilometers voor deze week. Ik zie nu al uit naar de week na deze rustige week, rust staat niet echt in mijn woordenboek. Helaas wel in mijn schema.
Today marks my 40th trip around the sun! 14,600 days on this Earth! I can't believe how fast time has gone!
So far, its been a pretty cool ride! I can say, beyond doubt, that I have the most amazing family and friends a girl could ask for! I have been blessed to have crossed paths with so many great people! I have had great experiences and some hard times too. I have loved, lost, and loved again. I always wanted to be a mom and I am blessed to be the mom of amazing boys; 1 in heaven and 2 on Earth(and I am the mom of an adult now too!). I have also had the pleasure of being the first teacher to hundreds of kids! They have all brought me so many joys and lessons!
One thing I have learned, is that I do not nearly know as much as i thought I would at this point! I used to think I could be the perfect mom, wife, friend, teacher, and everything else! Well, the truth is, it's all a pretty hard balancing act! Kindness goes a long way, and I have tried be kinder to myself too. Other people will hurt you, be kind and pray for them anyways. Not everyone who is in your life is meant to stay. I think everyone is just out there doing their best, including me! We could all use a little encouragement. A smile or a compliment goes a long way! If you have something nice to say to someone, say it, if not, keep it shut. Luckily, I have been blessed with patience, humor, and an amazing group of people to support and inspire me! I make a daily effort to be positive and grateful. I know for certain that I am lucky to be 40! Not everyone gets to see this milestone! There are things I still want to do and places I plan to go. For now, I hope to accomplish some goals but take things day by day, enjoying the moments, taking more time to relax, read, run, hike, and breathe! I'm looking forward to the next 40+ years!

30 min yoga sesh. Did a workout from @beachbody. Felt good to move and stretch my body. I have learned the importance of recovery post marathon. If you don’t recover properly, you set yourself up for injury. .
I have a very hard time with recovery because I like to move and get my heart beating. Anyone else struggle with things like this?
Workout done! 20 minutes of power and I felt it!
I loved the motivation today. It is about letting go of what doesn’t make you feel powerful. Let go of the negative thoughts and embrace the positive!
I feel like everything happens at the right time for the right reason. Right now in my life there is a lot about letting go of what I can’t control and embracing what I can. Feeling the positive and releasing the negative. That is what I am choosing to do.
What doesn’t serve me is being let go. I won’t say I am perfect at it. I still complain more than I should. I get caught up in situations and over think them. But I am working on. I am working on moving my mind away from those thoughts quicker. Trying to give other the benefit of a doubt. Just trying to understand what is going on inside myself to understand why I am acting the way I am.
It is really inspiring to let myself feel but move on. Knowing that feelings are ok but holding on to them don’t serve me.
So if you are struggling thinking about just letting go.
Letting go of what doesn’t serve you
Letting go of the negative energy
Letting go of the anxiety
It hard to let go but it will be so worth!

I have so many good photos from Sunday, and my smile is so genuine in all of them. It wasn’t the usual “see a camera, start running and smiling” type deal. I was truly smiling through the whole 26.2 miles. Every mile was magic and I’m counting down the days until the next runDisney weekend. ✨🥰

Bien évidemment personne d'autre que moi le fait 🙄
La charge mentale de la coureuse vous connaissez...être toujours à fond, mettre le réveil pour avoir le temps de courir ou faire l'impasse sur la pause repas... Bref j'essaye juste de me convaincre que même si je n'arrive pas à suivre le plan d'entraînement à la lettre c'est que le temps me manque... Connaissez vous un pays où les journée durent 30h, je pourrais envisager de déménager 😜

I’d say every second of that 20 minutes counted today. Had to take a few quick breathers on that one. It was called POWERFUL. .
Not a bad word or mindset to start the day with. .
Do something today that reminds you that you DO have the power. The choice. You’re always one decision away from the change that you so badly want. Decide what you want...and go get it. 👊🏻

Tão importante quanto os treinos de corrida, a musculação, fortalecimento dos musculação são extremamente importantes para um bom desempenho e para evitar lesões nas corridas!
Já que esse ano vamos brilhar muito, mais cuidado ainda com isso!
