It’s taken me far too long to post this photo 😅 constantly worried about how it looks and what people would think etc. But fuck it. Done it now haven’t I 🙈😂 -
I’ve been training myself since my 16th birthday... I’m now almost 28 (April 10th 😉), I’ve made plenty of mistakes in that time while trying to get as fit and as strong as I possibly could. Over training, not stretching or warming up, the list goes on. Only recently I’ve learned to enjoy, or at least grin and bare 😬, every single part of a healthy lifestyle 💪🏼.
The classes I’ve been taking @valhallatrainingacademy recently have been a great opportunity for me to take what I’ve learned and show people who are just starting out, or anyone who has problems/injuries that they struggle with on a daily basis, or that simply stop them from pushing themselves when training, how to go about looking after their bodies in order to get the best out of their performance. -
WEDNESDAY 7PM & SATURDAY 9AM
The purpose of these circuits are to test your muscle endurance and your cardiovascular levels and push them to their limits.
This is not a circuit class. I will be using this time to practise lifting techniques and proper form, from barbell exercises to atlas stone lifting, in a safe but enthusiastic environment to encourage everyone to get involved and build a platform to becoming the best they can be 💪🏼

Nous voici de retour avec Bérénice qui s’est également pliée à l’exercice du bilan 2018 et des objectifs pour 2019. Les voici : .
Son année 2018 a été marquée par sa collaboration avec le magazine de design Intramuros pour lequel elle a réalisé les 4 numéros parus durant l’année. Sa collaboration ne s’est pas arrêté là puisqu’elle a également proposé et mené à bien la rubrique « lecture » qui propose de faire découvrir des ouvrages récents ou à paraître dans le domaine du design, de l’histoire du design et du graphisme. .
Il faut savoir que Bérénice a une double casquette puisqu’elle enseigne également. Pour 2019 elle aimerait, donc, s’investir davantage encore dans l’enseignement de l’édition d’art, notamment avec son nouveau poste de professeure d’enseignement artistique à l’école supérieure d’arts et médias de Caen pour la filière Design mention éditions.
On rêve/rêvait toute d’une prof en édition aussi impliquée qu’elle !

I was watching GMA today and they stated that today is "Rseolution D-Day"....where everyone is typically now giving up on their resolutions as the excitement and motivation has dwindled away.
Dont...stop giving up on yourselves and what it is your really wanting.
Remember these three life rules...and why it is you made that your resolution :
1. If you don't go after what you really want, you'll never have it
2. If you don't ask, the answer will always be no
3. If you don't step forward, you'll always be in the same place.

If I’m being honest I still struggle with a fear of doing. A real fear of putting my best foot forward. If I never do, I can’t fail. If I only talk about doing I can captivate with ideas, and shirk the responsibility of execution. I don’t want this fear any more.
So 2019, for me, has to be about creating. Creating more, creating consistently, creating just because. And sharing that work. So here we go. So here’s a picture of something someone I admire greatly had a hand in creating and executing!

How many of you make New Years Resolutions? Do you manage to keep them? I've never really been a resolutions person but the past couple of years I have chosen a word to focus on for the year.
Life is busy and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. In fact, it seems to just get busier and the years seem to fly by faster and faster. I used to spend much of my time wishing and waiting for "life to slow down" but I have now embraced the fact that it's not going to and have decided to try soak up the time I have with my family as best as I can. My words for both last year and this year seem to fit with this.
Last year my word for the year was "Intentional". Throughout the year I tried to focus on being more intentional in all areas of my life and knew that if I wasn't, things just don't happen. I started planning out my days better with making lists for what I wanted to accomplish every day and started writing down my goals instead of just thinking them. I think I improved a lot in this area over the year and hopefully I will carry this on in the years to come.
For this year, the word that kept coming back to me is "Simplify". There are some areas in my life where I am too much of a perfectionist and some things that I make too complicated and spend too much time on. Ever heard the saying, "Work smarter, not harder"? That is what I am going to be reminding myself of throughout the year. I need to do better with letting go of things that don't matter. I want to simplify things and spend my time and energy on the things that do matter. We are only a couple of weeks into this new year but I have already made some changes and am loving the time it has freed up!
