  • ✶ This vegan ALMOND BACON BOWL 🥓 is speaking to our soul! As always our recipes are ✔️ Plant Based ✔️ Low Fat ✔️ Plant Based ✔️ Medical Medium Friendly! INGREDIENTS 🍃 ALMOND BACON ½ tsp tomato concentrate 1 tsp olive oil (optional) 2 tsp maple syrup 2 tbsp coconut aminos ½ tsp smoked sweet paprika) ½ cup almond flakes PASTA 7 oz tenderstem broccoli 6 oz zucchini noodles 2 large garlic cloves, diced very finely ½ hot chili, deseeded and diced very finely juice and zest, 1-2 lemons (adjust to taste) Sea salt/ pepper to taste INSTRUCTIONS 🍃 ALMOND BACON 1. Preheat the oven to 250° F and line a baking tray with a piece of baking paper. 2. Mix the almond bacon marinade ingredients together in a small bowl. Toss the almond flakes in the marinade and spread them on the prepared baking tray. 3. Place the tray in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, giving the almonds a good stir halfway through the baking time. They may appear to still be a little soft when warm but will crisp up once out of the oven and cooled. PASTA 1. While the almond bacon is getting ready, chop your broccoli into same size pieces + steam it (3 minutes) Once cooked, season with salt and set aside. 2. Heat a small sized pan and put in veggie broth 3. Throw in the diced garlic, zucchini noodles and chili + sauté them on a very low heat, stirring frequently, until the garlic releases its aroma but do not allow it to brown as it will taste bitter. 4. Season with liberal amounts of lemon juice (I used about 3 tbsp), the zest of one lemon, salt and pepper. 5. Fold in the warm broccoli. 6. Divide between two bowls, top with a lil’ almond bacon and some extra lemon juice if you wish.   • Any suggestions for easy meals to eat while on-the-go? I made these ‘Katsu’ Sushi Sandwiches or Onigirazus 🍙 a little while back, which was one of the easiest meals to prepare and enjoy. I remember eating them while rushing to class 😅 And i need to make them again soon now that school’s bound to get busy! I used Japanese sushi rice (recipe below!) wrapped in nori sheets filled with the “Katsu” which are actually breaded hot and spicy vegan fillets from Quorn, carrot ribbons, and some lettuce. Finished off with lots of sesame seeds and homemade teriyaki sauce! __ You can find the recipe for the sushi rice below! The teriyaki sauce recipe is on my blog! :) __ Japanese Sushi Rice 3 cups uncooked Japanese rice 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar (this type of vinegar is essential) 3 tbsp white sugar 1 1/2 tsp sea salt __ Preparing the rice 1. Wash the Japanese rice 2-3 times with water. 2. Cook in a rice cooker. 1 cup rice = 1 cup water) 3. While the rice is cooking, pour rice vinegar, sugar and salt into a large wooden or ceramic bowl. Mix well. 4. Once rice is cooked, add into the vinegar mixture and mix well. The hot rice will easily absorb the mixture. 5. Cover the rice with a damp towel. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Por lo que, pensé de inmediato debo hacer un post sobre esto y desahogarse... . Las sopas instantáneas son una comida rápida que se ha popularizado mucho en los últimos años, ya que representa una opción fácil y económica para aquellas personas que están cortas de tiempo para cocinar o comer algo más saludable. Aunque, probablemente quienes las consumen no las consideren precisamente como un alimento saludable. Sin embargo, se les ha criticado por su bajo valor nutricional y, en los últimos años, existe fuerte rumor acerca de que su consumo causa cáncer o asma. . . Qué tan peligroso es comerla? En la actualidad, se ha difundido información en la que se afirma que el consumo de esas sopas es riesgoso para la salud. Estudios indican, que sería peligrosa su ingesta en personas con presión arterial alta o diabetes y también para individuos sanos, y esto se debe a la cantidad de sodio que contienen. Serious satisfaction guaranteed. ⚠️ Seriously addictive. --- Takes 20 mins to prepare + 20 mins of freezing time --- ONLY 3 INGREDIENTS Dates (dried, large) Tahini paste Dark chocolate (I used 90% cacao content) --- To prepare firstly take the pips out of date, then add a tahini and close the date is possible. Melt dark chocolate in a bowl an dip dates into chocolate. If you have some toasted sesame seeds you can sprinkle on top. Freeze for 20 minutes and they are ready to enjoy. --- These dates makes a really nice treat if you go for dinner at someones house. They look very nice and people love it. Tested and approved not only by me. --- enjoy and have a sweet sweet life with as little sugar as possible :) #wholefoodsplantbased #dessert

  • Ok so I posted in my stories how I loved the Bay and Cardamom coffee that I was kindly treated to at the beautiful @hexagonrestaurant cafe. Yum! Plus it’s kind of what I think my kitchen should look like;) ☕️ So I came home and prepped my bedroom diffuser with oils of Cedarwood & Cardamon.. so, so dreamy! 🌲 Cedarwood is a calmative so great for stress & tension, it has a sedative like effect so fab for sleep.. its also anti- infectious, anti-fungal and antiseptic... immune support. 🌱 Cardamom: is a warm oil that is antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-infectious, antispasmodic, fab for digestion. ☕️ Anyhoo, back to coffee and cardamom. I’m one of those people, if I hear a song I love, i play it on repeat;) Same for taste & flavour! Hence the coffee pictured with Cardamom essential oil added. Here’s what I did: ☕️ *I brewed a cup of @dineencoffeeco * I took 1/2 a tsp of Agave and added 1 drop of YL Cardamom oil to it and mixed this into the coffee. * then I added hot frothed milk (dairy or non-dairy). 😋 So easy, so good! Lmk if you try it!
