Why getting organic when necessary is important but why SOAKING your produce is also just as important.
I soak ALL of my produce to get the residue of pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals off. Organic or not. Organic farming on a large scale still requires a certain level of chemicals to keep bugs off of the produce. It’s definitely cleaner than conventional (not all conventional is bad- I still get some things non-organic) but it’s still not like growing our food directly in our backyard. But we work with what we’ve got right!
I have reversed around 100 food and environmental “allergies” that would cause me to break out in hives/rashes everyday. I have a post explaining why they weren’t actually true allergies and why allergy tests really aren’t accurate or reliable like we’re made to believe. And how they can hold you back when trying to heal.
This picture was taken 5 minutes after eating a conventional cantaloupe about 6 months back that I rinsed quickly. I immediately knew it was the pesticides. Running something quickly under water does not properly wash it. When you cut into that fruit or vegetable the chemicals still spread to the flesh part that we eat. And if you’re sensitive and dealing with viral loads (like most of us are), you can react. And even if you don’t react- if you wouldn’t eat the chemicals straight, why would you want them on your food?
What I use to soak my produce 👇🏻
- A few tbsp of CRUELTY-FREE baking soda (not all baking sodas are. Please research what companies you’re supporting. @wholefoods is the one I use ❤️)
- Put produce in sink, fill with water, add baking soda, soak for 20 minutes.
- Take out, dry, and put away. That simple!
I make it a point to always do this the day I go grocery shopping so that I get it out of the way and set myself up for success for the week.

1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp nut butter
1 egg replacement (or a small mashed banana)
ca. 40ml milk of choice
1/2 tsp baking powder
sweetener of choice (if you like)
Coconut oil to grease
toppings of choice (f.ex. chocolate sauce, granola and berries)
Prepare egg replacement according packing instructions (or mashed banana) and stir with milk and nut butter.
Combine flour, cacao powder and baking powder with (sweetener) and vanilla and add.
Stir until your dough gets smooth and thick.
Grease a mug with coconut oil and fill in the dough.
Bake your mugcake for around 3 min in the microwave.
Serve with toppings of choice and enjoy!

Undigested protein (chiefly from meat & dairy products) will readily putrefy (rot) in our warm gut, just as milk spoils at room temperature on a warm day. Putrefactive byproducts are highly toxic and carcinogenic. They include: methane, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans (which yield the rotten egg odor when carried out by the methane gas), cadaverine, putrescine, ammonias, indoles, skatoles, leukomaines and host of other toxic and carcinogenic gases and substances. Just as hydrogen sulfide gas will decompose concrete, iron and steel sewer pipes, it will irritate and destroy the flesh inside our intestines and colon.
It’s been a year since I made the switch to a plant based lifestyle. I don’t really run into any pushback at all even though I work in construction and it sometimes comes up. What I have heard from others is that they wish they could eat healthier and everyone usually agrees that animal agriculture in its current state is a complete disaster. What are the alternatives? Free ranging 56,000,000,000 animals a year to feed the world population is absurd and if we hunt wild game for 300,000,000 Americans then we all be starving in a matter of days. Although we and the planet can survive and thrive on whole, plant based food. I’m online daily visiting the beef association, dairy forums, grass fed websites trying to understand the viewpoint but it’s just not sinking in to me. I want to see both sides. And I have good friends that bow hunt for elk, I myself have spent a lot of time fly fishing in Colorado mountain streams and I spent most of my life in Texas, the world head quarters of BBQ. I’m asked a lot about my diet 🌱 because there’s a little confusion 🤔 When I wrote my first book Radiant 📖 three years ago I was almost vegan! I still ate eggs 🥚 because I got them from my neighbours farm where I could see the chickens were truly free range 🐓 .
Unfortunately last year Mr Fox 🦊 snaffled the chickens 😢 and it was too sad replacing them. So I began buying supermarket free range - but they didn’t taste the same .
Then I watched the @peta video about the (not so) Happy Hen Company - google it. This was the brand I’d been buying 😰 .
So I quit eggs. Not for my skin - because my skin was ok with them - but for ethical reasons and overall health (the state those chickens were in, eating their eggs can not be good for us) .
My new book will not have eggs in it. 100% plant based 🌱😀 .
Eczema tends to react badly to eggs, more-so than psoriasis .
Here is my recipe for scrambled tofu, which is not only full of protein, it’s also made with turmeric 💛 so it’s brilliant for regulating our immune system .
1/2 block @tofooco tofu .
1 tsp turmeric .
100ml @innocent nut milk 🥛 .
Salt & Pepper .
Fresh cress 🌱 .
+ my friend made this gf sourdough which is amazing!! .
Cut the tofu into cubes & add to a pan. Use the back of a fork to mash it. Pour in the milk, add the turmeric, season with salt and pepper. Serve with fresh cress & black pepper .

Basking in the rare winter sun and thinking about how this year will be my fifth year of Veganism 🌱
With January just round the corner it's time to start thinking about resolutions and goals for the year to come. What I want this year is for as many of you as possible to consider taking part in Veganuary; one month of vegan eating. So this week's blog post is all the reasons I think participating in Veganuary this year is important. Quick snippet; with one month of eating vegan you could save approximately 33,000 gallons of water, 1,200 pounds of grain, 900 square feet of forest, 600 pounds of CO2, and the lives of 30 animals.

Okay going to attempt to catch up with all my posts!! Been MIA because I had a lot of deadlines 😤 now I just have exams in jan so should be a lot better with consistent posts 👼🏼 this is my uni lunch when I haven’t brought a packed one. They have a few different wraps and lots of vegan bars in the uni shop 🥪

Officially 4 weeks in and 4 weeks to go,
I’ve kept my calorie intake higher than I usually would during a ‘cut’.. just increased my activity level (cardio every morning)
Not gonna lie to you guys,
I might look more appealing than usual but
I definitely don’t feel as energetic as I do normally
I get tired and irritable faster, I kinda hate this and wanna get back to not worrying about being in a calorie deficit..
BUT nothing that’s worth achieving comes easy right?
Another thing I’ve had to accept as a natural athlete is that when you are in a deficit you won’t ‘pop’ as much in a T-shirt (today the security guard in my building asked me if I’ve stopped going to the gym 🙃😂) But then without a T-shirt and a pump it’s a whole different game
Getting LEAN and just losing some weight are two completely different ball games
But both require patience and a strong mindset
You must communicate your intention CLEARLY with your inner self before you embark ANY journey (fitness or not)
For example: On 15th November I shut the world off and all the noise for a span of 10 minutes and got into a deep meditative state and communicated with myself that “I am gonna be eating lesser food compared to normal in order to get down to 8 percent body fat. I will fight cravings and I will give every ounce of dedication that I have instilled within me”
Just by doing this, truly visualising my goal and sticking with the promise I made to myself I can see myself manifest my goal
I’m not a bodybuilder, I’m not preparing for a competition.. but the energy I generate by setting a goal and absolutely smashing it helps me apply it in other areas of my life. That’s why I do this.
I use this energy as fuel to be a good student, coach, business owner, son, boyfriend,friend and overall human being.
