  • Fire in the sky tonight! Nature’s fiery sunsets never cease to amaze me and tonight’s was no exception. Pics taken from around San Jose, CA. (Sunday around sunset, December 9, 2018) *Weather update/forecast:
The jet stream was to bring low pressure troughs & frontal systems rapidly across the Pacific & as they reach the coast, they were being pulled northeastward & weakened. This means the systems passing across NorCal were fast-moving & relatively weak, though the clouds from these systems were helping to enhance the sunsets in the region (like this evening as one of the storms was drifting into the West Coast). By the very next day, Monday, we were to have a break and then another weak system was forecast to bring light rain to the coast range, the northern mountains, the valley north of Red Bluff, and the Sierra Cascade north of Plumas county. By Thursday afternoon & Friday, a slightly stronger system was to bring rain to parts of the state. Then yet another system was to move into the region by the next upcoming weekend…

My phone never captures the color right though. 😭 Also, not sure if those are shooting stars or planes. The second one definitely seems to be a plane, but not sure about the first one. When I looked closely I thought I saw blinking but I dunno. 😅
