The @nllwings and many of the fans embarrassed a city and belittled an entire people. You should be angry, and if you’re not, you need to reevaluate yourself. Shine as much light on hatred as you can.
I’m so sorry to anyone who came into the city I call home and left feeling affected by this.

One of those days where the only glow you need is your own #ownit
Ok, i hesitate jumping on these bandwagons. But here goes, late 2007 in Barcelona vs late 2018 in Toronto. Before the beard. Age 40 vs 51. If I had a beard back then it would have been relatively dark with a good dash of salt n pepper. When i grew the beard 3 years at first I didn't want to because I knew it would be a mostly white beard, but instead of being afraid of the white I decided to embrace it.

This week Nathaniel and I are waking up at 6 am to workout.
Today marks day 8 of our journey with Arbonne’s 30 days to healthy living program. We plan to sustain a plant-based, gluten free, dairy free lifestyle for the remainder of the year.
We’ve set aside daily scheduled time specifically for educational purposes.

So often we feel pressure from our #family#friends and #society to play certain roles #mother#wife#daughter and for many of us these traditional roles aren’t a good fit....it is a hard thing to break out of the mold we’ve been cast, but there is nothing that will #empower you more than losing any #false#mask you feel obligated to wear and to let your true self shine bright! Once you have time with yourself , visualize , Write them , feel them . Rather than just write out your goals in a topline way , also write how it feels to achieve your goal... Have that feel , it’s ok to let yourself go for moment and be able to be where you want to be !

What habits could you change that would shift the energy and the direction of your life? You are your greatest critic and your biggest challenge. Being hard on yourself doesn't move you forward. Being realistic and constructive is necessary to see what areas you can find improvement. But where in your life are you your own poison? .
Nutrition; lack of sleep; negative behaviours, thoughts, emotions and company; criticizing others; too much tv, or not planning or following a schedule to work toward your goals? .
Whatever it is, identify it and put steps in place to change it. Don't belittle or be critical with yourself. Recognize it, own it and decide to change it. Keep it that simple! You've been your own poison long enough, it's time to let that go and get out of your own way!!

Do you set monthly goals? This is all so new to me. I was in management in a corporate setting before and always had monthly goals I would set but, being self-employed and setting goals for YOURSELF and your team you’ve built is something totally different. It’s very hard to write out words of success for yourself but, when you do...there’s something so empowering and magical that happens within. I can’t wait to see what this month and year hold! What are YOUR goals this month?
So many of us are afraid to mature past the current or older version of ourselves because we know that each new phase comes with new responsibilities, uncertainties, risks, challenges and more. So what we do is hold to our most recent accomplishments and allow them to fill us with a false sense of forward progression when in reality we are in a mental complacent area and allowing "what was" to overshadow "what is".
Be appreciative of what is behind you and also learn from it but understand that you can no longer live on the past but must reach and strive for all the awaits ahead of you. There should always be a sense of fear or nervousness that comes with new territory but never allow it to stop you from charging full force in front of you. These were my thoughts over the weekend and I am looking forward to tackling absolutely every goal and barrier that lies ahead. If your goals don't scare you, then they aren't big enough. You are more than capable of grasping, accomplishing and attaining every thought, goal, want and idea.
Instead of pounds and inches, my online fitness community is focusing on self love this year. With that, first and foremost: pay attention to what you’re feeling 💕. If all the ‘right’ things make you feel stress and pressure, these are NOT the right things for you 🙅🏼♀️.
A little background here:
In December I hurt my foot, pretty badly. I was also in the middle of the WORST spiral of constant back to back migraines that I’ve EVER had. Physically I was a mess and it was taking its toll 🌪🕳.
Today, my foot is healing well and by some twist of divine fate, I’ve discovered NUCCA, which is doing me a world of good in fighting migraines 🙌🏽. Physically, I’m on the upswing, mentally though.... the damn lifting workouts that I was doing at that time, they take me back to all the 🕳🌪 feels 😒.
Exercise.....all the ‘right’ things. Right? Wrong. I was filling my morning ‘me- time’ with workouts that felt more like obligation than the grounding stress release, sweat sesh that I need them for. So, in honouring how I feel....I abandoned ship on that program today ✌🏽. Instead I’ve committed to a new challenge that will move me forward instead of drag me back. Plus, it’s an old fave ❤️. Day 1 down! 79 to go 😳👊🏽.
