One of my favorite things about Common Ravens is how widespread they are. I find them doing interesting things in dripping rainforests, above glaciated peaks, and in the most arid of deserts. Their intelligence makes them wonderfully flexible. This was one of a pair freaking out hikers by making weird noises (while watching for snacks to be stolen). Two hikers we met thought they were being stalked by mountain lions. Nope, just naughty ravens being opportunistic in the Anza Borrego.
