I used to spend money every day on a gross prepacked sandwich made with eggs that could have come from anywhere, plastic wrapped crisps, plastic wrapped milk chocolate and a plastic bottle of drink. I'd often eat it thoughtlessly whilst doing reports in a half an hour lunchbreak. I was unhappier, unhealthier and although I wasn't heavier I was almost 2 sizes bigger. NOW I absolutely love an excuse to make a plastic-free, colourful and plantbased packed lunch and haven't bought a sandwich triangle in over 2 years. Mindblowingly, these small lunchtime changes has saved me from buying around 1,000 pieces of single use plastic! IT'S THAT EASY!
Today I am spending my lunchbreak learning about Shetland geology with @shetlandheritage and eating beetroot/tahini/flax falafels with a carrot salad, olives and a baobab mango smoothie in a reused jar.
Latest by me. My phenomenally amazing week on the Salmon River “River of No Return” through the Frank Church Wilderness, in The Official Adventure Guide of Idaho magazine. Starts page 73. Hope you like it as much as I loved the experience and writing about it... @solituderivertrips@visitidaho@visitsunvalley
