We made it! And it’s already love at first sight
Day 462. Pictures from the first incredible hours spent here.
- - -
Siamo a 150 km dall’Himalaya.
E ci sentiamo a casa.
Giorno 462. Uno splendido arrivo in Nepal.

So go out and live your life, dance through the storms, embrace whatever happens and lies ahead. Follow the winds of change, don’t resist them. Let them guide you to where you’re meant to be. And even if it may not be where you want to be, trust them.
Keep that perpetual glow in your eyes and that bright smile on your face. And someday, near the end of the road when you stop to reflect on how far you’ve come in this life, you’ll be able to stand back and admire this beautiful piece of art that your journeys have coloured each step of the way, knowing you indeed had an amazing life.

I wish every young adult with big dreams know and understand that there's absolutely no reason for them not to do what they love and not to pursue their dreams. Saying that 'its easier said than done' is the lamest excuse a person can have. You dont even have to succeed on first try but for goodness sake, please actually try. Don't let your dreams just be dreams. They do come true if you are doing something to achieve them. Dont just sit there and say "its easier said than done". You gotta chase them.
Remember when we used to look up at foreign landscapes? Our eyes focus. Our minds on edge looking, really looking. Present. Remember when we didn’t want to be anywhere but here? Traveling hundreds, thousands of miles to arrive at the simple truth that wherever you are, be there.

This guy (zoom in), with coffee and treats on his tray, an elf hanging off his backpack, bouncing happily with every step he made in his red sneakers, is on a mission to deliver cheer to someone today. He made me laugh, and I felt the Tuesday, holiday blues lift from my chest. I wish I could thank him, give him a hug... Let’s try to be more like him. I will. That’s a promise. ♥️
My brother-in-law and I had this joke over Thanksgiving about putting everyone on the spot...
That Thursday, I apprehensively asked him if we were doing the whole go around the table and say something you are thankful for thing. I may seem like I'd be totally down for an activity like that, but quite the opposite.
With the thought of it, I'm brought back to my high school days, when one of my friends told me his go-to response for that EXACT situation: "I'm thankful for my family, friends, and the opportunities I've been given." It's a great answer- just enough to fulfil the ring leader, yet not enough to qualify as a proclamation of soul-bearing wisdomy bullsh*t. In other words, this answer hurries the moment on by.
So while we didn't go around the table and share, it did get me thinking... What would I say if I was to come up with some "soul-bearing wisdomy bullsh*t.”
Well, I'd be thankful for the little boy I met in India, and the moment I watched him watch a Polaroid develop of himself. I'd think of the night sky in Namibia- massive, bold, and impossibly hard to look at and not feel small. I'd remember the smell of the Azores and the greenest greens I've ever seen in life, and the sound of call to prayer bouncing off the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. I'd recall the lionfish and komodo dragons in Indonesia, who def could have ended it all for me, but very graciously did not 🙃 I wouldn't forget the crazy cool landscapes of Lanzarote or Iceland, and how incredibly intense scenery can produce such calming coziness. And I'd relive the intense warmth of being covered head to toe while walking through a mosque in Abu Dhabi in July heat.
I wouldn't discount daily sunsets, or 'just because' glasses of champagne, or laughing so hard tears come out (god, I love that last one).
But I think that would have been a little too long to share at the Thanksgiving table 🦃💛

a star falls from the sky and into your hands, then it seeps through your veins and swims inside your blood and becomes every part of you. and then you have to put it back into the sky. it's the most painful thing you'll ever have to do and that you've ever done. but what's yours is yours, whether it’s up in the sky or here in your hands. and one day, it'll fall from the sky and this time, you won't have to put it back in the sky again 🌙✨ #skieswithbethanie
First, I wanted to say how grateful I feel to be a part of such a loving and caring community. Thank you for sharing kind words in a time of need. ❤️🙏😘 .
So, I am finally working to get my motivation going again and writing! It’s been 8 months since I’ve been in Thailand,🙈 but in the next weeks I will be sharing my Thailand posts with you! I’ve just finished putting together the top 3 temples to see in Bangkok which is now live on my website! Link in my bio. I would love for you guys to check it out since I’ve but many pictures that will never make it on here 😊 This photo was at the beautiful Wat Pho. We only had one full day in Bangkok, so we spent our time discovering the beautiful temples and eating, before heading to Chiang Mai. Wishing you a beautiful short and productive Monday 💛

I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so i had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of nature. 🌱🌿☘️🍃
Send me to the beach and don’t let me come back till my attitude changes 🙄
Nature for me has always been a healing place. Going back all the way to my childhood on the farm, the fields and forests were places of adventure and self-discovery. Animals were companions and friends, and the world moved at a slower, more rational pace then the bustling cities where I’d resided my adult life.
