  • Cheers (with Nuun😂) to the FASTEST 400s I think I’ve ever thrown down🔥I went into this workout excited because I’m committed to making this my strongest training cycle ever..and it paid off! I was determined to make my last rep the fastest, and as I was running it I thought, “How bad do you want this? Umm...BAD!!🔥” and finished at a 5:54 pace🎉🎉 Looking forward to seeing more 5:xx’s in my future😬 Now I’m feeling accomplished and ready to relax into my easy miles tomorrow and Friday. What are you doing to make this training cycle strong?

  • Week 2 Embrace Kids documentary Marathon training: Turns out I’m not an elite athlete, nor do I run like a gazelle. (I know, I’m shocked too) Just a small 6km run tonight however the 30 degree heat made it tough. I’m now wearing two bras to keep the girls happy (but finding it hard to breathe, note: could be problematic, probably need a proper bra) my shoes have a hole and I have shin splints already. I’m telling ya, marathon training is glamorous as, totally like what you see in the fitness mags. 💯 Note: this is not a sponsored post for frozen diced onions or frozen peas. 🤷‍♀️ If anyone needs me I’ll be on the couch swatting flies. #livingthedream 😂😂😂 All jokes aside, this mission is about the kids, so when the going gets tough I’ll be thinking of them, oh yes, and I’m putting the feelers out now so those of you close to Adelaide can marinade on it - wanna do the marathon too? Help me raise funds for the doco - the more the merrier!   • Spetter spatter spater, rennen door het water! T bleef gisteren maar regenen, verzopen katjes waren we. Oprecht maakt het mij weinig uit die regen. Na afloop moet je toch douchen! Ik ben wel heel blij met meerdere paren schoenen, zo kan ik wisselen en heb ik voor de dag daarna gewoon een paar droge schoenen. Dit waren de crewkilometers voor deze week. Ik zie nu al uit naar de week na deze rustige week, rust staat niet echt in mijn woordenboek. Helaas wel in mijn schema.

  • What are you T H A N K F U L for today? #thankfulthursday - A group of women at the hospital I work at meet every Wednesday for lunch. We call ourselves the PharmDivas, as we are all females with our doctorate in pharmacy (PharmD). Unfortunately, I usually have to miss the lunch because of my schedule, but yesterday I was able to make the end of it, which is the best part because that is when everyone goes around and tells their positive or win for the week. I feel so lucky to have so many positives in my life, but this week my win, and what I am thankful for is this ever changing body that carried and delivered 2 healthy and happy babies, it’s ability to heal, and its strength to able to run again! - it is so easy to get distracted by other people, especially on social media. I am guilty of it too, but if you remind yourself of what your goals are and how they differ from whoever is distracting you, then you can appreciate what you are working with and use it to fuel your motivation. #momonamission - Another 1️⃣ mile for me today!! - #runthismomlife 🏃🏻‍♀️ #8weekspostpartum #onemilecloser #tbt #treadmillworkout #strongnotskinny #pharmacistlife #workingmom #pharmdivas
