Yesterday didn’t go to plan. Due to the length of time the metal bar has been in my chest, the surgeons felt that they need to use equipment that they didn’t have available there and then.. and so the operation is being rescheduled.
I’m not annoyed though. There’s far worse things going on in the world and the surgeons only made the decision with my health and safety in mind.
I’d like to say a huge huge HUGE! thank you to you guys. The amount of DM’s and comments and just overall support and love from you was utterly mind-blowing. I was, for the first time in a loooong time, actually nervous. And having all your messages flood through was truly uplifting.
I know I have a following on here.. but to know you genuinely care and are involved with my life, enough to take the time to write long ass DM’s and lovely comments etc, was just a huge reality check for me.
My aim, as from the very start with this ‘blog’/‘profile’, was to bring people value. Be it by helping them dress well for less, motivate people to keep fit, to let go a little of society’s constraints and structures, to just be YOU and have a good time or whatever that ‘value added’ may be! That aim hasn’t changed and I can only thank you for the boost you’ve given me, through your positive support and energy yesterday, to commit to furthering my efforts to do so! Watch this space.

Feel good Friday

And for those that don’t know the theory behind this:
Imagine your difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions are a cactus. Every time you poke, prod and squeeze at them you hurt yourself. You carry this painful weight around with you causing more pain to yourself as you obsess over situations that you may never get answers for and can’t get closure from.
However, if we learn to put the cactus down we can exist with the issues but they can’t hurt us!
For a long time I believed we had to face everything head on, “deal with our problems”. But sometimes there are things in life that we won’t have answers from and can’t resolve, so this theory is a reminder that you can learn to co-exist with your stress or trauma but learning to put it down each time you find yourself squeezing it again.
It takes a few goes, but keep telling yourself to put the cactus down every 10 seconds, that 10 seconds becomes minutes and then hours, days etc 🌵
It’s possible to heal if you allow yourself space from the pain ❤️

Time to get focused! My 'I Am The Boss' notebook is helping me ensure Fridays are as productive as the rest of the week (because I have a tendency to enter weekend mode at around 9.30am on a Friday) 🙈
How do you stay focused when you just want to go have fun?? I find checking in with my goal and why it's important to me, plus a good 'concentration music' playlist from YouTube helps me buckle down for the last day of the week 💪🏻
