Lake Agnes, Banff National Park. A painting by Harman Delyea this is one of our all-time favourite places to go, possibly due to almost half a century visiting it, always loving the first glimpse of the turquoise water and soaring cliffs as though for the first time. If you can only hike to one lake in the #canadianrockies, be sure it is here. It isn’t long but it is all uphill! Rewards await: breathtaking beauty, resting spots, and a tea house. The trailhead is at #LakeLouise. We’re due for a redo in 2019 for a very special occasion.
These mild winter temperatures lately along with the fresh snow are awesome!
Last time I came up to the tea house in the winter had to be almost 4 years ago, kinda nice how peaceful it is without the crowds!
“There is pleasure in the pathless woods. There is rapture on the lonely shore. There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea and music in its roar. I love not man the less, but Nature more.” –Lord Byron 🏔 // #girlgetoutside#mybanff
