Thank you to everyone who came out to our last book signing over the weekend—we loved chatting with you all!! We’re starting to wind down this week before heading off to spend some quality time with family at the end of the week. Hope you’re all taking some time to reset, even if it’s just a few minutes to watch the sunset. 🌵✨
Spent five days road trippin around the desert with a couple beautiful souls. Can’t think of a better way to usher in 27.
The bouldering in Joshua Tree is notorious for shattering egos. I’ve seen “strong climbers” nearly reduced to tears after being completely shut down by Jtree moderates with grades far below their perceived competency. Phrases like “I hate Jtree” or “Jtree sucks” are surprisingly common when discussing this beautiful place but for those of us that can check our egos, Jtree ass-kickings become valuable learning experiences that made us better climbers.
One of my favorite “learning experiences” in the park is the uber classic Street Car Named Desire. This sweet overhanging dihedral is a technical masterpiece that rewards those patience enough to work out the subtleties. Most suitors are left scratching their heads but Prairie scraped up after hours of struggling. It was an amazing send and I’m starting to worry my little sister will surpass me when it comes to climbing.
#sponsored We are working on ideas for the Maker Ranch XMAS photo and we cant agree on the matching outfits yet but we are excited to be working with @ramtrucks on a series of #ads I started by getting the entire squad into this very spacious and luxerious 2019 Ram 1500 for a climbing trip in the park. So far we have stayed on paved roads and I am digging the sunroof, the leather, heated seats and massive 12" touch screen but stay tuned because we are going to put this beast to work! #RamTrucks#JoshuaTree
Ideal mornings include: cats, sunshine, coffee, cactus encyclopedias, and @thefryecompany. Thank you to FRYE for the sweetest gift—I’ve been wearing this whole outfit from their Holiday Gift Guide non-stop lately! #InMyFRYE#ad

When you'd much rather be hanging out in a solar salt water pool in Josua Tree instead of dashing round shops, wrapping and making countless lists 🎄🎅🏽❄️

Just a few lights to welcome the hordes of Joshua Tree National Park tourists for the holidays and not intrude on the magic tapestry of starry desert nights. Stop by #coyotecorner for tips on desert etiquette and gifts.
We are beyond excited to announce this very special new class added to our schedule!! Starting Thursday, January 3rd with @jodijamesyoga!
This class is designed for mothers and babies to unite and bond through a nourishing, gentle, yet strength building yoga practice. Moving through traditional yoga postures and breathwork while engaging with baby throughout the class. This class will help tone a mother’s body after delivery, while also working with restorative postures to help release tension in the muscles and mind at the same time connecting with your new child. This class is also a wonderful way to meet other new mom's!! We encourage all levels to join! * Baby MUST be at least 6 weeks old up to crawling. No older children are permitted to join the class at this time. Please bring a fully supplied diaper bag, a blanket and snacks.
See you and your little one on the mat! .
There's something about nature and great company that just puts me back together. I needed this adventure more than I was willing to admit. My inner child came out to play and climbed on everything within reach. I got my fill of fresh air and sunshine, peace and quiet. I'm planning on more wilderness adventures in 2019 for sure!!
Joshua Tree and me part II .
Scrambling to catch up on my 365 photo project of 2018...decided to edit some more from the Joshua Tree National Park trip because the landscape was amazing and deserves more air time 🙌🏼 | Day 348|
It’s that time of the year when memories are close to the surface... Last night I returned home from a late afternoon holiday tea followed by dinner with radiant souls. I set my things down inside the door, wrapped myself in blanket scarf and set out for a late evening walk with this Moon. She and I have a long history. We speak different languages, and I have, in the past, suffered for certain messages lost in translation – gravity is a tricky language for humans, because only the heart can hear it. But my listening skills have improved. As I walk, she churns up moments of what was a wildly messy and magnificent year, the alternating current that is life – beauty and despair, grace and regret, love and grief, evolution and decline, clarity and confusion, surrender and fear, creation and collapse. I can’t imagine trading or changing a single moment, and this feeling – of wanting to own it all – is my favorite moment of all.
