A late monsoon storm bringing beautiful morning light to a remote and sacred area of the Grand Canyon. Permits finally in hand, we headed out on a long and somewhat muddy road not really knowing what to expect. But as the giant cliffs slowly came into view, a herd of local horses came over the hilltop and sprinted in front of us as fast moving clouds lit up the scene like something out of a movie, so we knew we were in for a pretty great weekend. It happened so fast but I was able to grab a few shots of the horses running in front of us before they disappeared, check my stories for those.
