The Grains of Sands slipped through my hands They fell beneath me Piling high Particle by particle It was a feeling of an Unattainable hurt Stopping the fall Stopping the struggle Those falling grains Begun to be accepted Sight of the grains piling high they begun to Mirror something new They begun to bound together Fought together For a More solid structure A building foundation No grain lost For a better present moment For a better future _____________________ Tanya Scott

  • •24 hours earlier• Arrived at YYZ to leave for Ireland with a connection in Boston. Got on the 6:45pm flight to BOS where I was meeting up with a friend who had taken an earlier flight. Arrived at BOS but sat on the plane for 3 hours waiting in line for the plane to be de-iced. Got into the airport just missing the connecting flight (which had been waiting for my plane to disembark but couldn’t wait any longer, it was also 11pm at this point, no more outbound flights to Ireland for the night). A group of us were told we were better off going back to Toronto in the morning and catching another flight from there. Slept in BOS airport. Got on the 6am flight back to YYZ. Went home. Got on a 7pm direct flight to Dublin. Took a bus from Dublin to Belfast and missed the tour we booked to see the Causeway, Rope bridge and Dark Hedges (my friend went without me). My determined ass rented a car and drove to all three sites alone (in a short time frame in order to meet my friend back in time) driving in left-hand traffic for the first time - the rental guy gave me a dashboard sticker to remind me which lane to turn into when making left hand turns. Asked a stranger if he could take a picture for me and here it is. What’s your worst travel experience?
