Listen, I always go all out for Christmas! 🎄 So when @homedepot invited me to create a holiday lounge @createcultivate’s Miami summit event, I knew I had to bring a ‘lil festive magic to The Sunshine State! ✨ It was so fun to style the booth and to see how amazed folks were that everything was from Home Depot! Now, to find a wall of my own to cover in plaid wallpaper...! See more from the booth and my panel talk in today’s stories. 🤗 #HomeDepotPartner#MakeYouSmileStyle#CCVisionSummit

#ad When you get invited to tour the stylish new @StarbucksReserve Roastery in the Meatpacking district of Manhattan, you wear your best plaid pants. It’s just what you do! 💁♂️
This place is like a theatre of coffee: it’s a working manufacturing plant with coffee beans flying overhead in clear and copper pipes to be served fresh alongside delicious Italian bites and pastries by Milanese boutique bakery, @Princi. 😋 Plus, there are exquisite design details and cozy corners to escape the city at every turn. Peep my blog post today to see this theatrical coffee experience for yourself! Link in bio. | Pic by @jeanlaurentgaudy#StarbucksReserve#NewYorkRoastery#MakeYouSmileStyle
Imma throw a #tbt to the first short I ever directed with @stonestreetcinema , which starred my best friend and now roommate and not-yet lover, Noah. Noah doesn’t have Instagram, so why write a sweet message about moving to Jersey City together after 20 years of best friendship. We all know that this is really just about that perfect ray of sun shining down diagonally past my face. That is why we are here. You know that. I know that. But Noah does not know that, as he does not have Instagram. Also the short film is called “I <3 NY” and you can definitely watch it on the website in my bio. 📸: @chrisrplunkett
I love NYC in the winter, but what I love even more is luggage that can stand the test of time and travel.🎒
I have been carrying the same @victorinoxswissarmy bag for YEARS and the wheels have been beat up and put to the test, and it still rolls smoother than all my friends “trendy” luggage brands! Durability is KEY. The last thing you want is your luggage falling apart while you are halfway through your trip. I can’t tell you just how many times I have seen people go out and buy new luggage on a trip because theirs died. Not mine, not ever!
I recently switched to the brand new Werks 6.0 bag to test it out, and I love the new organizational system that comes integrated into the bag.
I’m going to make a video on how to pack a carry-on and use the integrated organizational system in the Werks 6.0 bags.
What would you like to see? How to pack for a two-week trip “anywhere”? What questions do you have for someone who generally ONLY uses a carry-on?
Would love to know!

Our house in PA finally sold so I am down here packing it for the next two weeks. Since we cancelled cable and internet when we moved to NY I am officially off the grid and now out of data usage. I promise that in about three weeks I will be back on with decorating tips as we move into our new place. Will miss the world of the connected. This is Leah Starr Baker over and out. Please don't forget about me y'all 😁😉 #fashionoverforty#packingstinks#byebyepa#hellony#starrheartsshoes#leahstarrbaker#iheartny#pennyanrocks

Today is the day of Judaism.
From biblical era storytellers to world-renowned 19th century German composers to Tin Pan Alley’s chart-topping songwriters, generations of groundbreaking Jewish artists, thinkers, writers and musicians have used the power of expression to make sense of 3000 years of Jewish history, experience and migration.
Prolific graphic designer Milton Glaser, recognized world wide for his “I <3 NY” logo, was born in 1929 and grew up in New York City. Young Glaser aspired to become a comic book artist, and studied at the prestigious Cooper Union from 1948-1951. In 1954, Glaser co-founded Push Pin Graphics magazine, putting forth a design form that resisted popular precisionist notions and instead favored an iconic approach that merged historical reference with strong illustration and vintage typography. In 1968, Glaser set his aesthetic eye on mainstream publishing, co-founding New York Magazine with Clay Felker. To date, Glaser’s most famous design works include Bob Dylan’s colorful “Greatest Hits, 1975” poster, Brooklyn Brewery’s “B” logo, PBS branding and the DC Comic’s bullet logo.

Artichoke dip flatbread is also on special this week and I’m already craving it again 🤤 Your favorite dip as the base with marinated chicken, tomato, red onion, and melted parmesan cheese.
It took days to figure out where we were going, let alone what we were doing. It took three hours to drive there, to a tiny airport in New Jersey. And while the sun began to set, we got unparalleled views of the city that never sleeps.
So grateful to be back up to the North, and what a better way to start off a semester of new adventures than flying in a helicopter over the sights of NYC.
Special thanks to @soleil_anya for being amazing and taking me on this special ride!
