  • Things that HELP adherence to a calorie deficit . I've been using all of these in my current diet phase #dietdiary . Dealing with controlling and moderating your in take is hard right? Dieting 😞 . You crave sweet things or want something that isn't going to fit into today's allowance🤔 . Or worse you feel hungry but want to put off eating for a while (perhaps until there are better choices!)😖 . I get both of these and have split the following recommendations down into those 2 categories . THESE WORK! . 1⃣satisfy an urge or craving - just enough to scratch an itch 😀👍 . ◾diet drinks work really well for me, they are zero calorie and can be just enough to satisfy an urge for something sweet ◾jelly is a winner and recent find. It's sweet but a portion is generally less than 100 kcal. Almost everyone can fit that into their calories ◾high protein snacks. Feel like a snack but worried something sweet will tip you into a binge? Grab a snack but go for something high protein instead like a shake or biltong. The later also keeps you busy chewing for a while . ⃣delaying eating - getting through a bit more time before eating . ◾hot tea or coffee. Keep them next to zero kcal and this helps occupy you for a while to delay eating. There is some talk of coffee suppressing appetite ◾glass of water helps with feeling full. This is to do with the volume and stomach stretch. This probably won't last very long and your body isn't stupid, you will feel hungry again but as a short term hack it might work for you ◾chewing gum. This gives your mouth something to do and can take your mind off eating. I find this stops me picking at crap . ❗Remember these are little things which might help you stick to your diet😀 . ❌They are NOT some miracle hack for weight loss . ✔ Calories matter most, so stay in a deficit and if you delay eating be sure you don't blow through more when you do eat👍 . . . . . #diettips #adherence

  • When your Airbnb guest has 20 years of training in Italian cuisine and decides to cook you a three course meal + dessert 🥂 . . The meal was outstanding, but the dessert was truly a Hanukkah miracle. She searched all over Tel Aviv for sufganiyot with no filling, made a homemade fresh strawberry sauce which she placed in between the two halves and a sliced strawberry made for the most perfect garnish on top. . . Happy Belated Hannukah ✌🏻❤
