Who said cactus can’t be a part of a lush urban garden? In the right climate, they make an appealing contrast to non-succulent plants. These Cardón cactus in Baja California Sur are living sculptures. My newfound appreciate for succulents has really added so much to my work.
Ficus elastica burgundy... is getting too big for the bedhead! One of my first plants from @theborrowednursery I hope you guys are happy this one has grown so well ☺️
Around 10% of flowering plant species produce latex and Ficus elastica is one of them 🤓 - well 🙄 not exactly like that ‘latex’ we commonly know from the rubber tree (=🧤), although there were successful-yet-economically-not-so-feasible attempts to make rubber out of Ficus elastica latex.
Fun fact of the day: Main function of latex is thought to be a defence against herbivores insects ☝🏼 #dearplants_ficuselasticaburgundy

I love meeting with soon to be brides to plan their succulent wedding 🌵🌿💕 The earthy and simple vibe that succulents bring to an event is irresistible. The blue, lavender and sage tones of succulents paired with eucalyptus and greenery are a favorite in my latest conversations. 💚 The best part about it, is that couples get to grow their succulents for years to come after the wedding✨
I still have availability for 2019 weddings! Find me at [email protected] for more info 💚
I always thought of Schefflera as a lovely decorative plant. Imagine my surprise when I was presented with a bunch of it as the only foliage for a flower arrangement ! No ferns, no gardenia leaves, no double hibiscus leaves, no Murraya leaves; just Schefflera! In addition, it had been purchased! We are so blessed here to have many things growing without any fuss. We barely scratch the ground and we see luxuriant growth without the aid of harmful to the soil chemicals! I have never purchased foliage. 😄 I made the arrangement and it actually looked nice, all I had to do was use shorter lengths of foliage to cover the mechanics which was wire gauze.
I don’t post a lot of photos with one plant on a white background anymore. Not because I don’t like that look anymore, but more because it’s not really want my apartment looks like. Yes my walls are mostly white, but the idea of looking at just one plant without three more (and some furniture) in the background, just isn’t representative of what’s it like to be in my apartment! Getting excited about a new leaf coming in January, though, is absolutely how I live! And Leia is delivering . . . | . . . #ficuselastica#ficuselasticatineke#rubbertree#variegatedrubbertree#newleaf#newgrowth
How many trailing plants can you see? My current obsession is with all things that trail, it could be the fact I'm low on space so hanging plants is my new favourite thing! What's your favourite hanging or trailing plant? I'm on the hunt! 🌿💚🌱
This little Ionantha clump has a home in my bathroom. There are actually three Tillandsia plants here which I split from their mother plant a few months ago. Soon, I'll split them for a smaller display I'm working on.
