Healthcraze Fact: It’s about PINEAPPLES 🍍
So I cut up this pineapple today and did a bit of research 🔍 around how this wonderfully exotic fruit 😍 makes its way all the way to the U.K at around £1 each 😱. It was one of those too good to be true moments. This specific pineapple is among the most common varieties grown in Costa Rica (Central America) 🇨🇷 which have one of the highest intensities of pesticide 💦❌🚫 averaging over 25kg applied per hectare of cultivated land. Many of the pesticides in use are highly hazardous ⚠️ and can cause serious health risks 😷🤒😵With pesticides they affect people differently. For example children 👶🏽 may be more sensitive than adults 👫 due to their small developing bodies that are less adapted to chemical exposure. People with asthma 🗣 or chronic illness 🤕 are more likely to get sick after pesticide exposure due to a compromised immune system. So remember everyone is different and it’s about making use of the resources available to us. 🌈
What steps can we take to reduce pesticide exposure?
1) Buy organic or at least locally produced fruit and veg that is in season more than exported produce.
2) Wash your fruit and veg before eating. I wrote up a recipe for a fruit and veg wash a few months bag. (pic of strawberries).
3) Know which fruit and veg have higher levels of pesticide and eat them less often if at all.
4) Grow your own! Asparagus, blueberries, strawberries, tomatoes and potatoes grow well in the U.K.

I love it when i can read a sweet devo like the ones from @bythewell4god (in particular #btw4g_iam) and receive #holyghostgoodies not necessarily intended by the devo 💜!!! And i also love it in #scripture when Jesus basically says, “Do i have to draw you a picture?” But instead he just goes ahead and takes #action by DOING what the picture would have looked like if He had drawn it 🙌🏼. Such is the case when Jesus chose to heal the man (all on His own accord... no one asked Him to) who had been going to the healing pool for 38 years (thir.ty.eight.people!) and had never even made it into the pool!!! What?! Jesus knew He’d be questioned by the religious leaders because He chose to do this ON the Sabbath... a day of NO WORK. Listen... here’s just ONE of the pictures God wants to draw for us... what is the FIRST thing we do when we’re hurt and we’re told to “go home and use the little acronym R.I.C.E???” Yup, you got it... #REST. Feeling a little inflamed after the holiday indulgences? Turmeric is a renowned anti-inflammatory herb and culinary spice that can help set you on the road to recovery. The dosage is a heaping teaspoon, once or twice daily. Additionally, a paste made of turmeric, water, and oil can be applied topically to eczema, arthritic joints, sprains and skin infections to reduce inflammation and speed healing. (Turmeric stains, so watch your clothing!)
I always really struggle with dissociation, in varying ways. The worst is in therapy, when we hit something rough and I spin out into a severe trauma state, even worse than my usual every day trauma state. And I stay in that spun out, unable to breathe, trauma panic. And I always dissociate when it gets too much, or straight away. And it's so intense. It always leaves me shattered for hours or days after therapy. So much of feeling suicidal comes from a dissociated place, for me. That need to just not exist, to not be here, to not be present because being present is just too intense. It always has been due to all the trauma as a kid and early adult, and now with all the trauma symptoms and chronic illness, being present is just too much. And so I'm not a lot, except for the moments I spend in nature - occasional milliseconds of stillness before the swamp of symptoms take hold and swoop me back into their storm. It feels like I never leave this storm, except for those brief milliseconds. The storm just varies from a 9 force gale to maybe a 7 if I'm lucky. And yet I seem fine. But inside I'm not. Inside I'm really struggling and I sometimes wish for it to be more visible. More open to the world to see.
And other times I'm grateful I can appear fine regardless of what severity the storm is at inside of me, because this "pretending" gets me through by providing an element of distraction (yet I'm never completely distracted cos this storm is always happening inside of me.
Yet the pretending also eats up at me. I yearn to feel seen and met in how I'm feeling. Yet I don't know how to be real when the storm inside of me is so huge. That's when it's hardest, to be authentic and show it, when I'm feeling the worst, because it's the darkest. And the darkest feels the most "ugly" and intense and unlovable and unfamiliar in this seeming-okay culture we all live in.
Yet this darkness and intensity is also our beauty right? It's where we ARE lovable and where people wanna help us and hold us and light our flame for us when we aren't able to.
So I see your flame and I hope you can see mine too. 🔥💕😘

A few important rules to teach your daughter(s)!
1. It’s okay to cry when you’re hurt. But, wash your face, and get up off the floor when you’re done. You don’t belong down there.
2. You are a woman, you do not need a man, but you can absolutely enjoy your life with a good one.
3. Happiness is not a permanent state. Wholeness is. Don’t confuse these.
4. Never walk through an alley alone.
5. ‘Can’t’ - is a cop-out.
6. Hold your heroes to a high standard. Be your own hero.
7. If you can’t smile with your eyes, don’t smile. Insincerity is nothing to aspire to.
8. Stay true to yourself always.
9. Your body, your rules.
10. If you have an opinion, you’d better know why.
11. Practice your passions.
12. Ask for what you want. The worst thing they can say is no.
13. Wish on stars, and then get to work to make them happen.
14. Stay as sweet as you are.
15. Say Please, Thank You, and Pardon Me, whenever the situation warrants it.
16. Reserve “I’m sorry” for when you truly are!
17. Question everything ... except your own intuition.
18. You are amazing! Don't let anyone ever make you feel you are not. If someone does....walk away. You deserve better.
19. No matter where you are, you can always come home.
20. Be happy and remember your roots, family is EVERYTHING.
21. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
22. Be kind; treat others how you would like them to treat you.

Well now really when we go back into falling in love. And say, it's crazy. Falling. You see? We don't say "rising into love". There is in it, the idea of the fall.
