MY ADVICE BOYS & GIRLS | Be more you & a little less them |
It’s 21.42 and I have already been to sleep once tonight, I did the usual night routine with my youngest two, bath 🛀 story, bed by 6.30 for the baby of the Tandos and then waited until middle baby dropped off before persuaded my eldest that cuddles would be the best thing to cure his cold & so bed time tonight was 8.23 and I was totally ok with that because well #mumlife right... 9.45pm I’m woken up by Miles wondering where I had gone and why didn’t he have any milk! Problem solved and all are now in my bed once again fast asleep, except me... 👍🏽 great ☕️ So I’m scrolling through some Instagram and scroll upon scroll I find myself immersed in the #instgramlife V reality and I question whether we are in the age where being a role model has been replaced by wanting to be an instagram model instead?
Are we more inspired to be skinny and rich than we are to be happy? 🤔
Now before I start getting trolled, I am all for Insta models doing their thing and this is by no means a post bringing anyone down.
I am the biggest buyer of 30 minute workouts and magic face masks that give you five years back & I LOVE a filter 💁♀️ However, after 30 minutes of mindlessly scrolling strangers, I have come away questioning my life, my body, my career and quite frankly my whole life, which is crazy because as far as lives go mines pretty freaking awesome & not because it’s perfect but because it’s real.
So, it got me thinking it can’t only be me that sometimes feels inadequate in the INSTA V REALITY surely?
I’m nearly 30 and don’t get me wrong getting fit and making yourself look and feel amazing is definitely something I encourage but no one is perfect and that’s what makes life perfectly, imperfect right?
