Picture 1- The Me my patients saw this morning. 😊
Picture 2- The Me I was really feeling this morning. 😴😷 I was on the struggle bus 🚌 thanks to a head cold that won’t quit and a 7 year old in our bed due to nightmares.
But ya know what, it was still a good day to have a good day! Thankful for the new tweaks to my morning routine that keep my energy levels up despite my angry sinuses. Hope you had great day friends! 😘 #sharinghopewithDiana

#girlpower 💪🏼⚓️. The story of the female entrepreneur is one that really resonates with us. Though expansion is increasing, female entrepreneurs still get less than 10 percent of venture capital. Not to mention that there is a heap of unspoken political barriers women face when trying to grow their companies. In an innovative program The Lab, Senior client advisor at Morgan Stanley, Carla Harris, plans to change the investment landscape for female and multicultural entrepreneurs. And in only its second year, the class has doubled and the entrepreneurs keep getting more and more impressive. Read the full Q&A in @goop bio 🎨: @kb.illustration
Diet culture loves to tell us that there is one way to have a good body and one way to get there.
But remember - 95% of diets fail LONG TERM and extremes with fitness regimes never last.
Here’s the other nasty part of diets that we often forget ... when we make it about CHANGING our body, we lose the experience of the PROCESS.
Diets often fail to teach us that the process by which habit change takes place can be really really fun.
We lose the important ability to gather information about our OWN body.
How does your body like to move?
Is there a form of exercise you love that you never engage in, but love, because it doesn’t burn enough calories?
How does it actually prefer to be nourished?
Are there foods you love? Foods you hate? Foods that don’t make you feel great but you thought you should be eating them?
There is so much to gain from really experiencing the process.
When I was completely immersed in my bikini competition prep i was so obsessed with seeing change that I forgot what I love about fitness and nutrition.
I lost my love of working out because I was doing it for the sole reason of making my body smaller.
I lost my love of eating healthy because I was so obsessed with tracking my macros.
I lost my love for what my body CAN DO because I was so obsessed with what I thought it should look like.
I walked away from constantly trying CHANGE and remembered i LOVE the PROCESS.
Tell me, what would you hope to learn about yourself if you decided to walk away from diet mentality?
What do you think of when you hear the words “fitness community”? For me, I think of the community of students that trust me to help them move better and feel stronger. I also think of my fellow fitness professionals and how we support each other, so when one of your students constantly tells you about another one of their fave instructors and insists that the two of you should meet, well, you find a way to meet that person. Thank you @samanthaduke3 for introducing me to the lovely @chichilifenyc 💕. Lauren is one of the most inspiring humans I know. Not only is she a 2x cancer survivor but she’s also an incredibly sweet soul who’s mission is all about community and spreading good vibes. Next month, I’ll once again be taking part in Lauren’s #barreforsurvival for cancer research at @exhalespa. If you’re interested in participating in the event or in donating, head over to the bio in her feed. Let’s continue to build our fitness community by helping each other out and supporting a good cause. .
I remember back when I thought Instagram was just a place to edit photos. I posted a picture of my friend Angie in her wedding dress and I will never forget the exact moment the notification came across my phone that someone had liked my photo. Panic ensued as I realized that I made made her wedding dress public pre-wedding. ▫️ A lot has changed since then but there's still this weird feeling that I get with every single "like" notification. Instagram is about far more than a number. It's not about the follow count orthe amount of hits each photo gets. Instagram to me is all about the people. I've met some of my favorite people here. I've found some of the coolest places. And while it's easy to get caught up in the highlight real, there's so much good stuff that goes on inbetween ❤️
