G'day from Australia it's motivation Monday! First day of school holidays for us! Off to a great start😁 training done, cleaned house and even my wardrobe and clothes organised!😀Super happy😁 my triceps💪have resurfaced too!💜💙💛 Yes I have a belly and I don't care I am not fat! I would normally be upset or try and hide this kinda photo but seriously I am happy with my body!! My mind has been warped enough as I grew up reading magazines like Dolly and Cosmopolitan etc. Containing perfectly touched up skinny models who often starve themselves, smoke or do drugs to achieve their figures. Stop using the fat word to describe yourself or others there is no need for it! My kids have used it to describe themselves and it's so sad and wrong! It's ridiculous to think the next generation would have the insecurities we do! Teach them to love their bodies by loving yours no matter what size you are because it's not about what you look like it's how you are as a person that truly matters!😘

One of the biggest questions I get is what type of diet do I eat. I would describe my eating as a whole food anti inflammatory diet. I try to stick to this about 90% of the time, but I won't lie, I do like the occasional pizza or glass of wine. So I am posting what a typical day looks like for me:
Meal 1: Paleo protein pancakes. I use 1/2 cup of the @birchblenders paleo pancake mix and agg 1 scoop of @drinkorgain protein powder so it ends up being around 20 grams of protein. I top it with a very thin layer of almond butter and a little fruit.
Meal 2: Triple berry green smoothie. 3 cups of spinach, 1/2 cup frozen organic berries, 2 scoops @drinkorgain vegan protein powder, 1 scoop @vitalproteins collagen, 1 teaspoons maca, 1 teaspoon flax, water and ice. This is about 31 grams of protein. I wouldn't normally eat that much protein at one time if it was meat because I think that much animal protein can be hard to digest.
Meal 3: Large salad with lots of veggies, about 3 ounces of wild caught salmon and 1/2 cup of brown rice tossed in. That gets me at least 23 grams of protein. .
Meal 4: Organic ground turkey meat sauce made from scratch over zucchini noodles. This is about another 25 grams of protein. .
I also have a scoop of @vitalproteins collagen beauty water in my water which is 6 grams of protein. .
I end up at around 110 grams of protein from both plant and animal protein. You definitely need protein to build lean muscle, but many women are like me and don't digest animal protein as well, so find what works for you. .
As far as how many calories that all is, I really don't calculate it. I eat as much as I need to provide the energy I need. I eat real food that my body knows what to do with and I try most days not to snack in between those meals to avoid unnecessary insulin spikes that can lead to insulin resistance. If I've had a day where I have worked out really hard, I add more carbs to those meals, days I do less I eat less carbs. I always shoot for about 5-6 cups of veggies. .

I know I can.. Either way. Today we got challenged to do as many we could. In combination with kettlebell swings. Until we couldn’t do any more. And I loved it.💓

I was taking to her about turning 10 and she told me she wasn't going to turn 20. Nope! She's going to stay little forever cuz she does not want to grow up! 😍
I've definitely told all my kids they are not allowed to grow up, but she's the only one who listens! 😂 One out of three isn't today bad. 💁🏼♀️

Hi all! Today I am so pleased to feature someone who really does not need any introduction....the gorgeous @iamsasjafierce aka 44 years young, Sasja. When I asked Sasja if I could feature her on my page and if she could tell me a little about herself, she told me this story which gave me a giggle... I think we can all just imagine how she must have felt! ‘I began pole almost 10 years ago. The first competition I entered, USPDF, I was not even 1 year into my pole journey and Natasha Wang (@polecricket) went on either directly before or after me. I could’ve died. I was like, what the hell am I doing here Lol!’ Luckily for all of us and for Sasja, this didn’t put her off pole and she went on to compete in the following pole competitions and did incredibly well! Sasja competed in PPC, pro level, placing 3rd in 2012, 1st in California Pole Dance Championship, pro level, 2014, 1st and overall winner in National Aerial Pole Art, pro level, 2014, 1st Ink-N-Iron, pro level, 2014, making it 3 back to back titles within 6 months of one another. In 2017, Sasja competed in Pole Theatre Iceland, classique pro, placing 1st.
Sasja now owns her own pole studio, @strong4pole, in North Hollywood which is (www.stong4pole.com) dedicated to changing the lives of women from the inside out, through personal training, plant based nutrition, mental and spiritual awareness and of course, pole dance. The easiest thing to do when life becomes overwhelming is to neglect yourself. Can anyone relate??👇🏼I find that when life gets stressful, I start to fall back into my old, unhealthy ways. I miss workouts, I’m not as focused on my nutrition as I should be, I make excuses for slacking off and I catch myself emotionally eating 😖. It’s a self-defeating cycle of ignoring the things you need to do most at the times when you need it most. I even fall off with listening to my motivational podcasts, reading personal development, practicing gratitude, mediating, & other things I do to keep me healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. Thankfully, I’m able to check myself before things get out of hand and super thankful for the people in my life who noticed I haven’t been myself and reached out to encourage me. I have to remind myself that I am a work in progress and stop beating myself up. it’s ok to feel overwhelmed and take a min to regroup & refocus, but it’s never ok to stop taking care of myself or stop showing up. If I’m not taking care of me, I can’t be the best version of me for my daughter and others who need me and that is not ok.🚫
In a few days I’ll be starting a new fitness challenge with my teammates and my favorite fitness mentor, the one and only @ShaunT!! 🙌🏼😍. As much as I feel like I’m not ready for this, I know that this is exactly what I need right now for so many reasons. This is not just about exercising and losing weight. Its so much more than doing a workout for 20 min a day and drinking a shake. It’s about keeping a promise to myself. It’s about knowing that this is going to be challenging and uncomfortable and deciding that no matter what, I will not give up because I committed to this and I AM WORTH IT.
