Didn’t think I’d join in on this whole #10yearchallenge thing but here we are praising the lord for puberty and weight training 🤣 (tbh this is a lie cus this is 8.5 ish years- best I could do for a full length photo🤷♀️)
Not sure why I thought it was acceptable for my bra to be sticking out but at least my tan was half decent 😂😂!
I feel like you can tell in an odd way how much I have changed internally here rather than the obvious external changes. I remember back then being very weak minded and unsure of myself in every way. Needless to say, though i’m still not fully appreciative of how far I have come (capricorn life) I can appreciate what i’ve been through to get here☺️

Funny story, during that time in my life (2009) having big anything just wasn’t it. I remember a guy told me I had a big butt (clearly not the case) and I remember being SOOOOOOO offended and was like, “no I don’t.” And I remember that night I just sat there and thought about it and it ate at me.. so already being a gym freak I was because I grew up around it and being a gymnast/all star cheerleader I started putting in extra work at the gym to make my “big butt” go away. Funny how things change. Lol •

The left picture is from 2010, when I swore an oath to the Army. I was feeling pretty happy, and had my future planned out. Things didn’t go the way I planned.
Instead of being a combat medic (68W), I ended up being discharged for medical reasons. I had been diagnosed with bipolar depression and due to the large amount of medication thrown at me, I was unable to fulfill my duty to the military. My whole future was gone. For years I struggled with that, thinking of what could have been.
I came to realize, after I had dealt with my condition, that this was something that happened for a reason; what I thought was my calling had turned out to be something else entirely. Being discharged directly lead me down the path to my interest in fitness, and almost three years ago I decided to take it much more seriously after my appendix surgery.
If you take anything away from this, please know life can change quickly, and not for the better in that moment. It may take a while but you’ll see where God meant for you to be in time. God bless! .

I was manifesting 275, and expected it to be bench press, but squats will do 🤷🏻♂️.

I’ll say it again, getting a little movement in each day boosts energy, brings emotional stability, tones muscles and burns fat. I didn’t want to do anything because I was tired and unmotivated. You’re not always going to feel like exercising, so that’s when you go with what you know. You know, it’s going to be beneficial and it’s one step closer to your goals. I did 15min of light stretches while my little man took a nap. Isn’t he the cutest, snuggled up on the couch?
It was shoulder day for me!! Stay tuned for some workout videos 🌟
Here are a few of my workouts I did today
- Shoulder press machine 3X10
- Shoulder press with dumbbells 3X10
- Dumbbell lateral raises 3X10
- One arm cable lateral raises 3X10 - Face pulls using cable 3X10
Then I finished with an ab circuit and cardio 💥
There’s something so satisfying about using someone’s gi against them: Sleeve grip and lapel control. Guard pull. Spider to counter his pant grip and de la Riva hook. Sit up guard. Worm Guard. Rotate him. Sweep.
The life is a question of how you push yourself through difficulties. Some situations will demand more push than the others so keep pushing yourself until you get what you really want. 💪
