  • HEYY HEYY HEYYYYY ISSS TUSH TUESDAY๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Twerkout lasted me less than an hour, BUTT I can most definitely still feel the effects of it๐Ÿ˜…. โ€ข All about being quick and effective this next week fam. School๐Ÿค“ comes first imo, and with that being said, it doesnโ€™t mean Iโ€™m going to slack off on my workouts. Iโ€™m just going to be aware of how long Iโ€™ve been at the gym, and try to not lolly gag around, aka: take 47383738 more selfies than I should๐Ÿ™ƒ. โ€ข A good gym sesh is the best kind of study break if ya ask me๐Ÿ˜Ž BUT Iโ€™m going to be incorporating lots of supersets and movements that donโ€™t require me to set up a bunch of shiz to save me some time. โ€ข Dats all my friends! I do not know much about competing, but what I do know is that it is a huge commitment. It also requires knowledge in an area of fitness that I know very little about. Hm...   • ๐‚๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐‡๐š๐›๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ง๐žโ˜๐Ÿผ ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐š๐ญ ๐š ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž โ € I did not grow up eating kale ๐Ÿฅฌ or quinoa ๐Ÿš lol I didnt even know what either of those things were and im sure not many kids even now do, however there is so much more information about healthy eating and the access we have to obtaining that information is ๐’˜๐’‚๐’š๐’š๐’š๐’š๐’š more accessible than ever beforeโ€ผ๏ธ โ € I say ALL that because until I took it upon myself to do the research and begin implementing little changes which helped create new healthy habits into my life, I wouldnโ€™t be what you see in the photo on the ๐™ง๐™ž๐™œ๐™๐™ฉ ๐Ÿค— โ € There is a 9 year gap between these two photos. I was 20 then and coming up on that 30 comes quicker than you expect โ € I have been through it all ladies... I always struggled with my weight, but after these last 2 years I have found what works for me, I studied my body type, learned how my body reacts to certain foods, constantly experimenting ๐Ÿงช & tweaking things here and there which has helped me discover and learn so much about my body ๐™ฃ๐™ค ๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™š ๐™š๐™ก๐™จ๐™šโ€™๐™จ just mine staying focused on these things this transformation did not happen over night โ˜€๏ธ โ†”๏ธ๐ŸŒ™ โ € โ € Stop ๐Ÿ›‘ expecting results ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ from ๐’Š๐’๐’„๐’๐’๐’”๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’†๐’๐’• habits.   • ๐Ÿ’ฅTHE TRUTH ABOUT SALT๐Ÿ’ฅ So what's the deal with salt? - "I cut out salt so I can't gain weight!" - "If I stop eating any salt I will be so much healthier!" - "Isn't it bad for your blood pressure?" - The answer to these few questions is actually quite simple really. - Salt does have an impact on water retention, a high salt intake with very little water will cause you to retain that water, resulting in a higher scale weight. - On the same token, having a high water intake with very low salt will cause you to retain less water, and consequently feel light headed, and sluggish because of your low electrolytes. - Therefore it is important to have a balance of enough water while still getting enough salt to have a good fluid and electrolyte balance in the body. - In terms of high versus low salt intake on your overall health, the research is quite conclusive. - People who have salt sensitive hypertension (people who's blood pressure rises with increased salt intake) experience a harmful effect with a high salt intake (imagine that!). Those who ARE NOT salt sensitive experience really NO BENEFIT in having a low salt intake. - Many of the negative health effects associated with salt is simply due to the fact that a lot of processed foods are high in salt (and also high in calories, sugar, among other things). Which means that many people who consume a high salt diet are also consuming a majority of processed foods, which are generally unhealthy. So the problem is less about the salt, and more about the food quality for health. - The thing is, salt is an essential electrolyte that everyone needs. Having too much isn't good, but too little can be as equal of a problem. - The average person should WORRY MORE ABOUT eating a diet of mostly whole unprocessed foods rather than trying to manage every grain of salt in their diet. - Know someone who needs to read this?
