Drawing and painting isn't about whipping something cool from thin air, it takes effort, time and dedication. This is something that I am working on myself to learn the human figure without tutorials, but from learning from the human skeleton. This is the sort of thing that goes on in the background that helps me create paintings such as my newest one. It takes so much study and practice to get the results you want, but in the end, it's totally worth it.

60x80cm, sepia on toned paper. Was fighting with the materials on this one - I couldn't draw lines using the point of the pencil because of how I toned the paper. Instead I was mostly shading, smudging and erasing to get this result
