In the last few years, I’ve realized that I’ve been presented with decisions— bold decisions that often takes me to unusual places and locations. And I’m able to push my passions and projects further, with a different perspective, with new eyes. For example, I moved to Singapore for 3 years for NYU Tisch Asia, and saw the world with new eyes, as a storyteller, and saw the world through the eyes of my peers. I’m excited to be moving up to the Bay Area in the new year for the @sffilm#FilmHouse#FilmResidency.
I never had a reason to be in the #BayArea, except for the fact that I have so many roots there. Numerous family members on my moms side and a few on my dads live in NorCal. My maternal grandparents also had a small apartment there. My father spent a year or two in the Bay Area, working there for an aerospace company. Two of my closest friends live there - @tinashoe and @dancedpm. I’m ready to experience the Bay Area and get the support towards my first feature, #Queens. Going to use the residency to get me to the next step for our feature.
To my Angelenos/SoCalers- I wont be far. This isn’t goodbye. My home-home will always be in OC. To my fellow creatives- set your goals for 2019 and let’s keep working towards our dreams. Hold your head up high, and walk forward with confidence towards your goals. They say write what you know. I think for the past few years I’ve heard that statement so many times. So graduating uni with bachelor of film in May I finally learnt that it is so true. Writing what you know only increases the passion in you. It lights a fire in you that you never thought you had. She was my hero, my twin soul. She blessed me with having my own twin soul my mother. & now it’s time to celebrate and dedicate a film to her about something that was the biggest challenge in her life. Alzheimer’s. My yiayia, you changed my life for the better. Your death is such a significant time in my life that I’ll never forget I got to be there for your final moments and since then I continue to try and stay strong and beileve in my dreams. I have big things for this feature film and it’s only just the beginning of it 🎬🇬🇷🇦🇺💫 My time is now! #featurefilm#creative#love#passion#filmmaker#producer#actor#screenplay#dreamsdocometrue#everythinghappensforareason#myangelupinheaven#mytwinsoul#grandmaslove#grandchildslove#forever
A big goal throughout my career and for 2018 was to (finally) push myself into the world of narrative filmmaking. And, I'm proud to say I did just that.
This August/September I DP'd my first-ever narrative feature film. A comedy set in the Los Angeles, CA area. This was, without question, the scariest thing I've done in my career and also the most satisfying and humbling experience. The knowledge I took away from these 17 days on set is invaluable.
Above are some colored frames from the film, which will release in 2019. With one feature under my belt, I'm more motivated than ever to go after more narrative work come 2019 as this is truly the world I want to push myself and our business into for years to come.

Working on Kate's clip today, it's looking so good!
Scuffling through sequence of #scenes and #plot for @carryonmywords - so back to #indexcards to rearrange and uncover a better way to tell the story. A simple but effective way - already seeing plot holes that need addressed.
Happy Birthday to our very own @acdiaz9 who plays Miguel in #whowearemovie!
We had another great rehearsal tonight and had to take a break to celebrate him!
5 rehearsals down and Only 20 days until we film 🎥 !!!
As a young girl, I always wanted to start a production company that shared the same values I did. To share what was more important to me. Stories that make people feel. I have so many projects I want to do. I started off with an idea of a short film and quickly came to realise that this story needed to be longer it needed to be deeper than just a ten minute duration. This untitled feature film is going to be a dedication to my grandma and others that have lost there lives to Alzheimer’s. A disease that effects those suffering from it and the people around them slowly watching the person forget who they are. It’s a disease we all have no control over and a disease that doesn’t get the attention it needs. This project is my passion. It’s going to be a while yet but pre production has started and it’s about getting a team together now that understands my story. ❤️ #featurefilm#filmmaker#producer#actor#passionproject#spiritroseproductions#film#alzheimersfoundation#dedicationstory#production
