  • Bye bye India. Bye clacsons night and day, cheese naan, negotiations for tuk tuk, frilly sari on the streets. Bye complexities, turbans, neighbors cows, colorful flowers at temple entries. Bye India. We’ll never forget you. [just landed in Nepal. And now, let’s start a new adventure] - - - Ciao India. Ciao “not too spicy, please”, ciao alle bombe di colore ovunque. Ciao India. Non ti dimenticheremo mai. - - - Appena atterrati a Kathmandu. Ed ora, ricomincia un nuovo mondo. [parete azzurra gentilemente offerta dalla terrazza del nostro @airbnb a Jaipur :) ] - - - #miljiansgotoindia With a Lot of Love 💛 - #likemiljian

  • It may have taken a little bit (ok, a lotta bit) of convincing to get Josh to agree to a more barren-than-normal tree this year for the family room, but I’m just obsessed! (Scroll to see!) For me, imperfection only adds to the character & magic of a real Christmas tree🌲AD Everything about real trees from the hunt in the lot, to hauling it into the house, to smelling its scent all month long creates lasting Christmas memories. To celebrate the magical experience of choosing a real tree, the Christmas Tree Promotion Board is hosting its first Real Trees, Real Memories Sweepstakes! • What is your one wish this holiday season? Happiness? Health? Peace on 🌏? Mine is presence. I wish to be more mentally present for myself and the ones I love. Being preoccupied has robbed me of moments that I will never get back. This year I will be unloading that which does not serve me or my loved ones to make room for the good stuff. How about you?

  • My husband is the sweetest and is always finding ways to bring me joy. Last night while I was at basketball practice with Landon he sent this to me. God has blessed me with my family and on days I don’t feel I have much to give Kendall sends me sweet reminders of my “reasons why” to push through regardless of what the enemy says to me - I’m constantly struggling with insecurities in a lot of areas in my life - I don’t talk about it very often, but I struggle with it. I have the sweetest kids and the sweetest husband. #familygoals #hubbyisthebest #mykidsarethesweetest #sweetboy #mommastribe #BWildNFit

  • Hit the gym this morning in 22 degree weather and had a GREAT workout!! Contrary to popular belief, you CAN workout in the morning while you are fasted (I’ll share more on my experience with this later). Sometimes we eat just because of the time on the clock and we don’t have to most times. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve really started learning how to listen to my body (except when it’s talking about cupcakes 🙄). The only thing I had before I left the house was my Nutraburst multivitamin and NRG. When I was done with my workout I started to get something to eat but realized I’m still not hungry and my energy level is super high. My current eating window is 11am to 7pm and by the end of the year, I plan on chopping that down to a 6 hour window. Off to run errands and deliver about 2000 client Christmas cards that just came in. 🤷🏾‍♂️ #TheDadCEO

  • I read a book several years ago by Gary Chapman called “The 5 Love Languages” — it changed my life. It says that we display and receive love in 5 different ways; Gifts, Acts of Service, Physical Touch, Quality Time, and Words of Affirmation. Each person ranks those 5 ways differently, and by learning the way our partner receives love the best, we can tap into their deepest desire and significantly improve the relationship. If we learn to “speak each others’ language” we can bridge the gap between what we say we want, and what we’re actually receiving. This theory works in all types of relationships; professional, friendships, intimate relationships, family, etc. If you haven’t read it, I highly suggest you go pick up a copy today — you can thank me later! My fiancé has never read 5 Love Languages. He has never asked me a series of intimate questions to screen my deepest desires. He has, however, intentionally and deliberately studied what truly makes me happy, makes me feel loved, and leaves me feeling fulfilled. My two love languages are gifts and acts of service. When someone picks up/buys/finds something {possibly small and nearly insignificant to others} because it reminds them of me, or they think I would like it, means so much to me. To know I’m on someone’s mind at all times is meaningful to me. When someone does something for me that is helpful or meaningful, it shows that they acknowledge my needs. That they know how to help me, and care enough to do it. Roy speaks my language fluently. He doesn’t receive love that way (he’s a physical touch & acts of service guy), but he does what he knows I need. When he came in with these flowers last night “just because”, I melted a little bit inside. To have a man that loves me so unconditionally and relentlessly is a blessing from God. I never imagined I could be so happy and blissful, especially as an imperfect person in a relationship with another imperfect person; But somehow our brokenness mends each other. Today, I’m thanking God just a little bit more for Roy. For Gary Chapman and his research into the love languages. For this life. And for this love. xx
