I couldn't resist waiting to post this Sunday, but... Here we have a lovely peacock foraging for dinner. As discussed in the prior post - in contrast to peahens; peacocks have a dazzling variety of colour along their body, and therefore stand out more to prey. If you hear them making calls - it isnt particularly pleasant if you're close by!
This week I'm reminded of patience. The importance of knowing how you want to feel, and what you want in your life, and staying patient for the end result.
Maybe this is your physical goals- weight loss, strength, better health.
Or maybe this is your career and life goals.
None of it is built in a day, a week, a month or sometimes even years. .
Just like hiking 29 kms in one day to trek to Panorama ridge- it's not going to be easy, but remember to look around and enjoy the journey. .
Keeping growing, and staying true to your intuition.
Panorama ridge 2012- Garibaldi provincial park.
This soggy weather has us daydreaming of warmer days and winery weddings. Happy to trade off our rain boots for a glass of🍷. Anyone else feel the same!?
Lights in black and white.
It has not been an easy year. Sometimes I even forgot to breath. But luckily I have always been able to find courage and peace when I see beautiful things or talk to wonderful people. The rolling hills, trees, rivers all talk to me. The birds drop by my backyard. And December reminds me, I should focus on what I already have and share.
Looking at these beautiful #gingerbreadhouses at #hyattregencyvancouver I feel energized by the love in this world. #vancouverisawesome#explorebc
We bought an infant life jacket before we bought a bassinet. Strange priorities but we have goal of introducing our daughter to a love of water from an early age. Maybe it's that lack of prioritizing sleep efpre she was born that is the reason our kid doesn't really sleep well right now.
Anyways, we also set a goal to create a love of the outdoors early on in her and a strong sense of family. Which is why we decided to take a huge chunk of time next year to devote to exploring the landscapes of western Canada, free from the 9 to 5 to able to bond as a family in a wild setting.
And now I'm asking for help from any paddlers in BC and Alberta.
Is there a lake or sheltered bay or calm river that you love to paddle in - we will be roaming the provinces from April to Nov.
Let me know in the comments below.
Throwing it back to my favorite mountain man admiring those beautiful mountain lines as we started our ascent of the Anniversary glacier on the flank of Mount Joffre last January. Reminiscing about those strong, able legs and epic cold smoke bluebird days in the backcountry. Keeping the hope alive that every step on the treadmill and awkward squat in the hallway at work 🤪 is that much closer to days like this ❄️
Just a wee tasting after work awaiting the hubby to pick me up. Days are busy at @indigenouswine in West Kelowna and evenings are for creating this amazing future with our Young Living business. .
What Thursday evening isn’t complete without a wee glass of Gewürztraminer by the Christmas tree?
Maybe come sparkling, too. .
Our Christmas party is tomorrow evening and it’s really starting to feel a lot like Christmas 🎄
🦋🌸 Short (and apparently unnecessary after discovering a proper trail) scramble to this scenic body of water
Reminding myself all this rain we’re seeing is a good thing with a #throwback to smoky summer skies 🧜🏼♀️ Behind the scenes though I’m trying not to cry after trekking across rocks shaped by the devil himself 📌
