  • Well my holiday around this big beautiful country of ours has come to an end. I am inspired by what outstanding beauty we have in remote Australia and hope to bring some of these moments to my pieces in 2019. This is Uluru at sunrise, just before we jumped on our bikes and rode around 'the Rock'. Stunning soft sunrise colours that morning 💗 #uluru #sunrise #ulurusunrise #inspired #thisisAustralia #travel #australia #dotheNT

  • A message from Chef Zach . I moved back home to Mansfield, as I felt I needed to go home . Last night I stood in the Delatite River for the first time since I spread my sons ashes, although it was emotional, it was me understanding what I needed to do. . Home is where your heart is. Mansfield is home for me. I’m back to where it all started. I’m back where I first realised why cooking is so important to me . The river signifies life in many Indigenous communities from drinking water to a food source. The Delatite river is a special place for myself, and I can not wait until my new Pop Up Series start “Finding Home Again” . I’m ready to take off my mask and I’m ready to show the world what Elijah’s Kitchen is all about and who I am as a chef but not just a chef but person . Here’s to a great 2019. See you soon everyone.

  • Last Night was the start of something so special . I ventured down to the river like any other hot day in the High Country . But something happened and it was special . The river I’m standing in is the Delatite River, it’s across the road from Sawmill Settlement and it’s where I spread my sons ashes . As I was singing my son a bedtime song in language . I heard this bird talking and next thing you know it was my totem the red tailed black cockatoo fly over my head, it was only 5 metres away . It was a special moment in life and made realise how beautiful this journey I am on but also how beautiful my culture is 😊
