Idk about y’all, but 2018 sucked.
Objectively speaking the only good thing to come from it was me getting married to my best friend. Other than that life threw every piece of garbage at us that it could manage to hurl our way.
However, it’s those years, months, days, that feel like things can’t get any shittier when your character and resilience is solidified.
“The night is always darkest just before the dawn, and I assure you the dawn is coming” my favorite quote from The Dark Knight. If 2018 tried to kick you while you were down, get back up, flip it the universal good luck sign and DOMINATE 2019.
I’m ready to do BIG things in 2019 and no shitty luck can stop me. Sometimes we can’t control the situations we are put in, but we have full control over how we adapt and react to them! Who’s with me?! Comment below and tell me how you’re going to kick 2019’s ass! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Throwback!!! Wow, this video footage is from our first music video and is still one of my favorite shots. It was @iamalmon first time directing a video and he killed it! This was the last shot of the day and we filmed it around 1am. We were all exhausted but, so excited with how the lighting turned out that it made us keep going. It’s always so magical what can happen on a set! 😍🎬🎥
A HUGE Thank you to everyone that came through to pitch in!! So much love and support!! It couldn’t have happened with out you!! #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
So grateful. 🙌🏽😊

Positivity trick #3: do what you love!
Simple yet effective. I felt this rather acutely today having received another rejection. Working in film is tough and I always knew this but it doesn’t soften any of the blows.
What does is knowing why I do it all, I love film and it’s what I want to be doing regardless. I need to remind myself of this sometimes. Having a job that you are so passionate about makes every day so much easier, even the really tough ones. I often try to picture myself doing something else that may be considered easier, this then reminds me that I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. I can’t. It’s really helpful to reorientate yourself with this knowledge allowing you to look forward at the possibilities.
You need to find what you love to do and get someone to pay you for it, there’s no replacing that. It is a long road for many of us and though I sometimes wish I could just be at the end of it already, I know that it would be nothing without the journey. It’s how we learn and find who we are so when we reach the end we’ve already made all of the mistakes.
Thinking things through like this really helps to drag me back when it feels hopeless. I just remind myself what im doing it all for and that it’s ok to feel bad sometimes, the difference is picking yourself back up and realising that your not a failure, just more of a marathon runner rather than a sprinter. You are not alone. #positivitytrick#dowhatyoulove#filmmaker#directing#writing#mentalhealth#rememberwhy#rejection#keepgoing#youarenotalone#fearoffailure#longroadahead#enjoythejourney
Director: Bradley Cooper
Screenplay: Bradley Cooper

#GregKinnear is entering #TheTwilightZone. The Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning actor will appear in “The Traveler” episode of the CBS All Access reboot, opposite previously announced #StevenYeun. He joins host and narrator #JordanPeele and cast members John Cho, Sanaa Lathan, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Allison Tolman and Jacob Tremblay.
There’s no word on the storyline.
The CBS All Access series will be a modern reimagining of the original, which premiered in 1959 and continued through 1964.
The Twilight Zone is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg serve as executive producers along with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Carol Serling, Rick Berg and Greg Yaitanes.
Kinnear can currently be seen in the sixth season of Netflix’s House of Cards. He was recently booked to play Bob Hope in dramedy Misbehaviour, which is based on the true story of the 1970 Miss World contest — hosted by comedian Hope — and its disruption by the newly founded Women’s Liberation Movement. His other TV credits include Amazon’s Electric Dreams, Fox’s legal series Rake, Modern Family, The Kennedys and HBO film Confirmation, among others. His starring role in James L. Brooks’ As Good As It Gets earned him Oscar, Golden Globe and Screen Actors’ Guild nominations.

Here’s a BTS look of how I Manual focus on the ronin while moving. I Just make quick little changes and use the focus peaking on my monitor to make sure all checks out, then use my body to move the subject in and out of focus. Also a glimpse of my colour grade too

With Cuaròn’s “ROMA” releasing next weekend, I decided to delve into one of his many brilliant projects.
Children of Men - 9.5/10
Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men (2006) is one of the best films released in the last 25 years. It is a triumph in direction, choreography, & storytelling. Cuarón masterfully crafted this immersive project with a mission in mind to seemingly spark our sensibilities and punch the audience in the gut as we try to rub our goosebumps away. A must see for me. Swipe for more of my thoughts.
Have you seen it? What did you think? Let me know down below!

Widows - 8.5/10
Steve McQueen’s Widows (2018) latest project delivers in various ways as a political heist thriller, mainly in its technical prowess and its ability to handle a plethora of outstanding performances. A must see in my book.
