Rock hop your way through @mossmangorge like @thegingerwanderlust 🍃💚 Nestled in the Daintree National Park, in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, crystal-clear water cascades through granite boulders, surrounded by lush rainforest. It's magical. ✨ Explore the area with a 1.5hr Dreamtime Walk with an Indigenous guide, learning the history of the land and the Kuku Yalanji people. Hit the link in our bio for more info on how to experience this for yourself. #thisisqueensland#exploreTNQ
There's no denying that the ancient #DaintreeRainforest is pure heaven 🙌 As @photobohemian points out, it's full of "...beautiful beaches and winding rivers to lush rainforest and hidden swimming holes" 🍃 Are you ready to go exploring in nature's paradise? 👣 #exploreTNQ
Today we were lucky enough to have a sleep in (until 10am!😯) We then decided to be adventurous and went Jungle Surfing in the Daintree Rainforest in Cape Tribulation. 2.5hr drive each way, we were again lucky enough to see another Cassowary and his 2 chicks BOTH the way up and back home! Even the Jungle Surfing Crew said we were so lucky to even see 1 throughout our entire holiday.. think we should buy a lotto ticket 😉🌴🌿🤸🏼♂️ Dinner at Apres because auditioning for the next Tarzan movie is exhausting.. Passed day 1 today with flying colours, day 2 tomorrow is just the same but with no cables 😱😂 wish us luck! #daintreerainforest#capetribulation#iloveyoumywife#adventurous#honeymooners#capetribulationjunglesurfingcanopytours#cassowary#luckyducks
I've been fascinated by trees ever since I can remember. When I used to get my film developed after a school outing I would have tons of pictures of trees.
I love the intricate drawings they make against the sky, the sound they make in the soft wind, the home they provide for other creatures. Their sturdy trunks helping the many shades of green leaves reach for the skies and an expansive network rooting them down into the earth. I love imagining how the roots intertwine as I walk through a large shaded area of trees.
Thank you trees for always fascinating me and for being the world's lungs! 🤙🏼🌳🌴🍃🌲
Flora in the Daintree: cones of the unique (and ancient) Zamia Fern (Zamia spectabilis), which is actually a small cycad which grows in moist shady tropical lowland forest between Cape York and Tully in far north Queensland. This is an unusual plant in that the entire stem is underground, with the leaves and cones emerging through the surface. Very distinct with its dark green glossy leaves, plants produce both male and female cones on the same plant at ground level. The cones pictured here are male cones, which split open to produce copious pollen. The female cones are shorter and rounder in shape.

The Daintree Rainforest - the worlds oldest living rainforest and the only place on earth where two world heritage sites meet. Incredible couple of days spent here, being traditionally welcomed to the rain forest, learning about the wildlife and ecosystem, swimming in the water and zip lining through the jungle 🌳🌏 #daintreerainforest#capetribulation#eastcoasttravels
The last 3 days have been quite an experience being off the grid in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest where the ocean meets the forest. We stayed in a cabin 20m from the beach completely in amongst the trees sharing the land with the crocs, cassowaries and other animals. #thisislivingbarry#daintree#daintreerainforest#capetribulation 🌿🦋🐸🐜🐌🕷🦗🦎🐍🐊🐠

WOW, what a beautiful drenching of rain last night! 🌧💙🌧
This much needed rain has given the rainforest a beautiful boost of life and she's looking particularly lush and vibrant now! 🌱💦🍃

The Buddhist’s say trees are the humblest of creatures.✨Their sole purpose it to serve others. To provide air, give shade, bear fruit, create wood for fire and add beauty to the landscape.
For us homemakers they are the perfect frame for our house; colour to a windowsill and flowers to a table.
Thank you to all those trees, without you it just wouldn’t be the same #homesanct#mindfulliving
