What I’m listening to this week: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I proudly admit that I’m a fan of YA, especially YA that allows me to take a giant leap out of the reality of work and the difficult parts of motherhood. There is something so satisfying in being swept up in another world, in this case, of faeries - the treacherous and often nasty kind. Having tackled most of the biggest titles in recent YA literature already, I knew this one had to be next on my list after reading through so many gushing reviews. And thus far, it has not disappointed. Danger, court intrigue, twists and turns: the perfect listen to carry me through deadline time and my reward at the end of the day for surviving homework with the kids. #bookstagram#cruelprince#ya#audiobooks#yaisforeveryone

So I wanted to join in the hashtag #gettoknowagamer & #disneygamemonth so here's both in one photo! Lol
I love to read in my spare time that sometimes 700 pages isn't enough for me. I usually read YA fantasy books since they just intrigue me mostly. I read manga from time to time but considering it's so short , I am very hesitant in purchasing any manga since all it would do is collect dust on my nonexistent shelf. I recently got a kindle for a present from my @phantomgmr and I already have some book backlogs woooo! 😨
As for the disney game that I struggled and still yet appreciate is lilo & stitch. Man this game brings back so many memories of me raging and being stuck at the first level but look at me go... I went so ahead that it's a babys level. Well no... it's still a joke of a game. So difficult and I just can't find it in me to finish it. Why did I get this game again? I don't even know. :|
“Marry me,” He says. “And become the Queen of Elfhame.”

He looks up at me with his night-colored eyes, beautiful and terrible all at once. “For a moment,” he says, “I wondered if it wasn’t you shooting bolts at me.”
I make a face at him. “And what made you decide it wasn’t?”
He grins up at me. “They missed” -Holly Black, The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2) ✨
Hey lovelies! Sorry for the delay but i went for a run this morning, cleaned up and have been reading and listening to The Wicked King! I’m loving it right now and I’m currently on Chapter 5! 🌸🌿
Featured today is one of my favourite perfumes from @behindthepagesstore which was a limited edition scent! Faerie Fruit is inspired by the fruit that makes mortals go slightly mad - it’s gorgeous!
Q. Who else has read/reading The Wicked King? No Spoilers Please!
Harden your heart• 1/14/19• book aesthetics?
Do you think authors every purposely have aesthetic books because it will appeal to people? Or do you think they just have to do with the contents of the book?
I might delete this later
*** BOOK REVIEW ***
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS
I finished this book about a week ago and just couldn't bring myself to review it right away. I enjoyed this book, but it was not love for me. To be honest, I'm not sure why there is so much hype surrounding it. Black does an excellent job of writing the beautiful, yet vicious fae. By contrast, Jude is utterly human next to them, fully flawed and, at times, irritating. I do love Cardan, but I'm not sure how I feel about Jude and Cardan yet. Their relationship (romance?) seemed to come from nothing. I can only hope there is more burn in Wicked King.
The end of the book really saved it for me. I loved seeing Jude come into her own and become just as conniving as the fae. That twist at the end was spectacular. I was expecting something, but not that.
At the end of the day, if you enjoy tales of dark fae and court intrigue, this book is for you. There is a bit of "high school" drama to get through, but the story holds real promise for the sequels. If you've read this book, let me in know what you think. .
Who is one of your most owned authors?
For me, Holly Black is certainly up there and this isn’t even the full collection. I decided to just focus on her fair folk books for this pic since I have plans for her others 😌I love everything that woman has ever written since I read tithe around a decade ago. Her Cruel Prince Books get lots of love but don’t forget to check out her other books set in the same world! •
QOTD: What are some of your favourite books/comics/movies about fairies or elves?

#journal spread 3 of the year! This week I read #thecruelprince and #thewickedking by @blackholly ! I’m enjoying the story and world in this series immensely. All the characters are such total jerks (was the title not enough to give that away?) they make themselves very hard to love, but make for such a great story it’s impossible to look away! And I am fond of Jude in spite of her also not being a good person. She’s certainly refreshing, and her motives are (usually!) in the right place.
The setting is aesthetic af and the story has so many twists and turns it like being on a rollercoaster! Would I move to Elfhame, even though it’s by all accounts a horrible idea, just for the fashion? Yes.
#judeDuarte’s dress and #PrinceCardan’s cape are made from real #flowers and #leaves! All #art by me except a few of those little creatures you can see dotted around the page. Those are courteous y of the Holly and Cassandra Clare tour poster I just happened to receive a printed version of. 🙈
Which book releases are you most excited about this year?/
Melyik könyvek megjelenését várod a legjobban idén?
Oh for me there are five must- haves this year! 😍
🐚The first one is The Wicked King, obviously🙌💕 I know it's already been released but I haven't got mine yet!
🐚The second one is Finale by Stephanie Garber! 😍 I'm sooooo excited about this conclusion! I'm really thinking about buying the FairyLoot special box! 😱
🐚The next one is Amanda Foody's King of Fools! 😍 I loved Ace of Shades and that ending just killed me! 🙈🙈
🐚And of course my queen is up to somthing again! Sarah J. Maas is releasing the epic World of Throne of Glass on my Birthday in September! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Clearly the publisher was thinking of me😂😂
🐚And.... Crescent City by #queenmaas is scheduled in December this year!🙈🙈🙈 These are my absolute favourites that I will buy immediately!💕💕

🗡️ Guard your mortal heart 🗡️ I finished The Cruel Prince by Holly Black last week and loved it! This is the first story I've read that takes place in the fae world which is full of political intrigue, twists, and enchantment! The main character, Jude, is a human girl who was taken to this faerie world when she was young and as she grows up she starts to fight back against the cruelty she endures for being human in a fae world. I did not see the twists coming when reading this first book in the trilogy and so I'm excited to read what else is in store in the 2nd book, The Wicked King! Also love these #fairyloot cards of #PrinceCardan , #JudeDuarte , and #Locke !
#allthebooksjan19 Day13 #socksunday I love these slipper socks from Old Navy because they match my my #sloth pajamas! Sloths are my Lazy Sunday spirit animal for sure!

best mail week of the year👑
i think i’m going to re-read Cruel Prince before continuing on to Wicked King.
I’m so ready for this book, but not ready to wait another year for the third one

I think this is the first book I finished reading this year and what a book it was.
I've been waiting for the sequel of The Cruel Prince for more than a year and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I finished reading it in a day.
I do feel the first book was better mostly because the ending of The Wicked King confused me.
I really enjoy reading about the world and the characters are very well defined especially Jude.
I can't believe I have to wait a year for the final book in the series but atleast it's a bearable cliffhanger.
Good news for Indian readers, The Cruel Prince is finally available easily in paperback as I saw multiple copies during the world book fair today at the @harpercollinsin stall. They said the sequel, The Wicked King, should be available soon as well (this month or next month if things go well)
I bought my copy of The Wicked King on Google Play as there was a problem in buying on Amazon Kindle till 15 Jan and I just couldn't wait .
