The legs of Stage 1 Elite Men's winner @leandrebouchard and jersey wearers for Stage 2 @crocodiletrophy.
While only short at 33km, the dry, loose and punchy stage will no doubt be felt by many of the riders this morning. Stage 2 features a neutral rollout from Cairns before tackling a 79km course, up over the Copperload Dam with more than 2,100m of climbing. The stage finish is at Lake Tinnaro.

I didn't really expect (nor want) my bike to be in this many bits two weeks out from the #crocodiletrophy and a week out from the Bendigo 6hr - better than the night before the race I guess... I think. Luckily the #cycleworks boys have it all under control... at least I think they do!?

Having a goal changes everything.
It’s been over 4 years since I’ve had something legitimate to train for. Cairns Ironman Triathlon in July 2014 was my last big hit out. Since then I’ve been “lifestyle” training.
Now that Rusty and I have found our new “thing” in mountain biking, we’ve got some boxes to tick.
First is the Otway Odyssey - Gravel Grind double... 100km mountain bike ride Saturday, followed by 100km gravel ride Sunday.
Second is the Crocodile Trophy Mountain Bike Race... ~700km over 8 days.
Your goal needs to be big and scary enough for you to take action.
Being back to full swing at work, I didn’t have time to train until I finished up at 7pm tonight. No worries - I planned for this and made sure I was organised so that I could jump on my bike after work and knock out a solid couple of hours of pedalling.
You can make excuses or you can make choices.

Joe’s fitness goal is to complete the Otway Odyssey and Gravel Grind double (200km of mountain biking and gravel riding over 2 days) and the Crocodile Trophy Mountain Bike race (700km over 8 days). Check out the journey on @exercisechronicles for a daily dose of exercise inspiration.
Yesterday we remembered a great man, our friend, Croc finisher and mentor Greg Parr. He is greatly missed and thank you to his wife Sharmie for leading our 2018 Croc finishers across the line in Port Douglas. #crocodiletrophy#croctrophy2018#crocfamily
