A week ago we were standing on a sandbar in the middle of the Caribbean. Now we’re standing in snow back at home, but as long as I’m with you that’s all that matters. @rayane.armbrust ❤️ Last pic I promise 🏝 Until the next tropical adventure...
(3) Can you see that dark blob in the water?? It’s a TURTLE 🐢! (Tortoise, turtle, I really don’t know the difference and I could give two fucks about educating myself on It 🙃) With my face in the water and my eyes on the prowl for the creatures whose home I was invading, the only thought that kept my heart from beating out of my chest was “God created the sea. He created these beautiful creatures. And if He never wanted to show off His work, you wouldn’t be here right now in this very moment”. You don’t have to believe what I believe and you don’t have to have the same fears to understand what I’m trying to tell you here. You just have to understand that FEARS are man made; “you-made”. And if you understand that you’re the only one who has the ability to make them and believe in them, then you must also understand you are the only one who can un-make them; you’re the only one who can tear them down; you do so by giving things new meanings. If you can re do the conditioning of that, freedom is on the other side. For me, It was turtles. Tortoises. And a few very colorful fishies. 🐠 🐢 🏊♀️

(2) We were told about this beach from a local and from another traveler. They said “there’s a beach all the way on the other side of the island where the fisherman go to fish. They bring back to the sand what they catch and they slice them up right there. The guts and the shit they don’t use/ want gets thrown back into the water and It attracts these huge turtles”. I wish this was a video under water of the massive turtles I got to swim with and touch but it’s the next best thing. You can see how unbelievably clear the water is there. (It looks like a fucking swimming pool!) The scene was quite amazing. But had I not realized my power to disable to fears I created for myself, the scene would not have turned into breathtaking moments that I get to carry in my heart forever..

(1) So another really awesome, scary thing I got to do during my trip to Curacao was snorkel. I know I know “you’ve never been snorkeling???? You live in florida ... it’s SNORKELING”. I have been snorkeling. Once. In the keys about 5 years ago. For about 5 minutes (lol!). I have a bit of a fear of bodies of water (ocean, lakes, rivers, etc.). I have a fear of all the “monsters” that are down under. And the one time I tried facing my fears 5 years ago, the water wasn’t clear and it freaked me back into my shell. But this year I have found myself coming up empty handed of fucks to give to the fears that have controlled my life for too long...

Jet-lag is a real, real, thing and it is kicking our tails. Not to mention that 2-hour time difference. This one is taking it with better strides than I am, that’s for sure. We are waiting for RJ and Red to make the trip later on this week but for now, we are going to soak up this amazing 85-degree weather and take lots of mid-day naps.
