For me, there is no better sense of motivation than the kind that comes from within. You can watch motivational videos, listen to motivational speakers, and read motivational memes/quotes all day long but it is all meaningless until there’s a true fire lit inside of YOU, that only YOU can dig out. Do some soul searching, find your ‘why’, and then proceed to kick ass 👊🏼❤️ .

There’s a lot of different advice being thrown out on how to eat over the holidays.
Personally, I’ve been indulging within reason and giving myself (planned) breaks from tracking everything I eat.
I’m still tracking a majority of the time, getting my workouts in & drinking plenty of water…But I’m also not turning down a good time.
A few days slightly off track won’t make or break you.
It’s what you do consistently that matters most, not occasionally.

The first photo is the earliest photo I have of myself and I honestly cannot believe how much my body has changed since.
Yes, my posing isn’t the best but you can see that there is a lot more muscle, definition and shape to my physique.
I’m 1.2kg heavier now and I’m hoping that’s all muscle 😉. My body has been consistent around the 67kg for as long as I can remember and I was over the moon when I hit 69kg this year - all the food 🤣
Personally, I forget how far I’ve come. I see myself every day but I don’t see all the changes that my body makes, both big and small.
A lot can happy with dedication, consistency, hard work and lifting some damn heavy weights! Ladies - lifting weights WILL NOT make you look like a man👨🏽

The typical question that everyone starts to ask each other... When’s your next comp?
It’s not even 2019 yet, but by looking at the KOMPAK stats for the 2019 Bodybuilding Calendar so far I know that everyone is already looking and planning ahead.
Not me though...yet 🙊💁🏻♀️ I’ll be honest I thought that my little ‘federation experiment’ this year would help me decide for next time. But it hasn’t, in fact it’s done the complete opposite!
The fact I got the same result in both a bodybuilding and fitness federation takes me back to when I had to decide on A-Levels after getting the same score in every subject in GCSE’s...it was a bloody nightmare and made it a lot harder! 🤣
I might be unsure on that side. But what I am sure of is that I’m in no rush to decide, and either path I need time to recover, and to grow.
So I’m pretty certain in saying to you all that you won’t see me anytime before Summer talking about my sugar free jellies or prep grind.
Expect the business grind though 😝
Don’t compete because you can’t handle the fluff and are missing the lean days.
Don’t compete just to be another number.
Don’t compete because all your bikini gang are getting back on da shreds life.
Bring something new.

People say you are the best version of you on that stage, but you are also your best version right now. Working away at your physique and mindset, when the results aren't 'visible' can be the hardest but most rewarding time as an athlete. So don't wish this time away right now, embrace it 💋
