I don't have aircon so to stay cool I've been: - defrosting frozen food (e.g. pastries) on my head/neck - waking up at 6am to bake then stopping promptly at 10am - not using towels after showers . Sending you all virtual hugs and air kisses cos no one wants to be near my sweat lol... xo P.s. in love with those delicate plates from @claybeehive 😍

No worries😎 Made myself this wholesome and delicious Burrito Bowl for lunch in less than 15 minutes despite having done zero meal prep (while I try to be prepared most of the time, I’m human. Sometimes I don’t have the time or really can’t be bothered, and that’s okay too🙈) . And this is a friendly reminder that it’s OKAY to take the short cuts sometimes. . ✅Don’t have fresh veg? Use frozen! ✅Didn’t prepare snacks? Grab a bar! ✅Forgot to cook rice? Keep some quick cook cups as a back up. . ✅Have no time to make lunch and nothing prepared? Buy something or make a super quick smoothie, sandwich or bowl of oats. . . Doing these things is not cheating, or failing or falling of the ‘bandwagon’, it’s simply making the most of what you can. What matters foremost is that you’re fuelling and nourishing your bod💖 . I used the @simpletribe Mexican quinoa cup ~ just quinoa with a bunch of spices to add water to and cook in a pot or microwave for a few minutes🙌🏼 Then added black beans, purple cabbage, tomato, lettuce, coriander + avocado. Deeeelish!!🥑🌱

  • 👊 Power Balls 👊 I think snack prep is just as important as meal prepping; there's no point eating a salad for lunch then eating a sugary chocolate bar at 3pm cos you didn't have something healthier prepared 🙃 I'm not much of a snacker, but these do hit the spot when you need a little pick-me-up 🙆🏼‍♀️ And you just mix everything in a bowl, no blenders or processors to clean up 🎉😀 I've made similar ones by using tahini or sunflower seed butter instead of the peanut butter, and using oatmeal or ground buckinis instead of the almond meal to make these nut-free too, so you can do that if needed 😋 I hope you're all having a great week 🌻🧡 . 1/2 cup Smooth Peanut Butter 2 tbs Rice Malt Syrup 1/4 cup Protein Powder (I used @aldiaustralia AEQUI Coffee Protein Powder) 1/4 cup Almond Meal 2 tbs Hemp Seeds In a medium bowl, stir together wet ingredients then stir in dry Scoop out tablespoons of mixture and roll into balls, store in the fridge ✌

  • It’s cherry season, and you betcha I’m making this Black Forest cake on repeat! To make the cake, you’ll need: 225g plain flour 110g (3/4 cup) coconut sugar 50g (1/2 cup) cacao powder 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar 2 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup light olive oil 3/4 cup cold water ❤️ Method. ❤️ 1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees C and grease and line a 7 or 8 inch spring firm pan. 2. Sift the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Combine well. Create 4 wells in the mix. Pour maple syrup into one well, vanilla in the next, oil in the next and vinegar in the last. Lastly, pour water on top. Gently fold mixture together until just combined. Pour batter into prepared tin. Bake for 50-60 mins, or until ready. ❤️ Meanwhile: 1. Whip up some coconut whipped cream- either a canned variety, or make your own mix). 2. Create a cherry compote. Add 1 1/2 cups of pitted and halved cherries to a saucepan. Cook over low heat for 5 mins, until juices begin to release. Add 1 Tbsp tapioca starch, 1/3 cup coconut sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Return to heat and cook until thickened, 3-5 minutes. Set aside in fridge. ❤️ Once cake has cooled, assemble your cake! Cut in half, spoon in whipped cream and cherries. Top with cake with extra cream, shaved chocolate and serve with LOVE

Das Rezept zu den Paprika hab ich euch vor einiger Zeit schonmal gegeben 😬. Ehrlich gesagt war ich jetzt etwas zu faul copy and paste zu machen 🙈. Ist aber nicht schlimm, oder? New recipe! 🌿save for the recipe🌿 🅜🅐🅝🅖🅞 🅜🅐🅣🅒🅗🅐 🅢🅜🅞🅞🅣🅗🅘🅔 🅡🅔🅒🅘🅟🅔: 1 frozen banana 🍌 1 non-frozen banana 🍌 1 cup almond milk 🥛 1 handful frozen broccoli 🥦 1 handful frozen mango 🥭 1tsp matcha green tea powder 🍵 Blend ingredients and pour into a jar Later rolled oats on top (as much as you like) Then add a layer of almond & coconut yoghurt anddd top, top, top!

  • خوب همه میدونیم که وجود چربی اشباع شده در قلب یکی از علل بروز آترواسکلروز یا سخت شدن دیواره سرخرگ می باشد اما تنها دلیل ایجاد بیماری قلبی نیست طبق تحقیقاتی که در سال ۲۰۱۱ انجام شد محققان دریافتند که پروتئین کارنیتین که در گوشت قرمز وجود داره توسط باکتری های روده به ماده ایی سمی وخطرناک برای سیتسم قلب و عروق تبدیل میشه که این ماده با نام اختصاری tmaoشناخته میشود  درپژوهشی مقدار کارنیتین و TMAOدر افراد همه چیز خوار ، وگان و وجترین  بررسی شد و داده های کلینیکی2595 بیمار برای ارزیابی بیماری قلبی مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. محققین دریافتند که افزایش میزان کارنیتین در بیماران ، افزایش خطر بیماریهای قلبی عروقی و حوادث جدی قلبی مانند حمله ی قلبی، سکته و مرگ را چنانچه میزان TMAOدر این  افراد افزایش یابد، پیش بینی می کند. مقدار TMAOدریافرادیکه veganیاvegetarianهستند بسیار پایین تر از افراد همه چیز خوار است.رژیمی که درآن مقدار کارنیتین زیاد باشد ترکیب  باکتریهای روده ای ما را به سمت باکتریهای دوستدار کارنیتین سوق می دهد ،بهمین  علت افراد گوشتخوار بیشتر مستعد تشکیل TMAOو تأثیر این ماده بر گرفتگی سرخرگها هستند .درحالیکه در گیاهخواران (vegan  و vegetarian) ظرفیت تولیدTMAOاز کارنیتین کاهش یافته است و بهمین علت این نوع الگوهای تغذیه ای برای سلامت قلب و عروق بسیار موثرند.تحقیقات قبلی نشان داد رژیم غذایی که در آن مصرف گوشت قرمز غالب است با  افزایش خطر بیماریهای قلبی عروقی همراه می باشد اما مقدار کلسترول و محتوی چربی اشباع موجود در گوشت قرمز به اندازه ای نیست که توضیحی برای افزایش خطر بیماریهای قلبی عروقی باشد. دانشمندان این ناهمخوانی را به تفاوت های ژنتیکی ، رژیم پرنمک که غالباً با مصرف گوشت قرمز زیاد دیده می شود وحتی فرآیند پخت پز ارتباط می دادند اما پرفسور Hazenمی گوید: این تحقیق علت  جدیدی برای این ارتباط ارائه می دهد.او می افزاید : این فرآیند در هر فرد نسبت به فرد دیگر متفاوت است این موضوع به متابولیسم میکروبهای روده ای فرد بستگی دارد.بدن انسان به طور طبیعی کارنیتین تولید میکند.اما آیا وگن بود برای کاهش ریسک خطر قلبی کافی است؟پاسخ خیر هست چون رژیم وگن درصورتی این ریسک رو کاهش میدهد که دستور غذایی گیاهی بر پایه سبزیجات و میوه و غلات کامل و نه صرفا غلات،مصرف کمتر شکرو نمک و مصرف چربی های غیر اشباع مثل روغن زیتون،و تحرک کافی باشد #healthy #life #healthy #food #health #body #vegan #vegan_food #healthyfood #bestofvegan #veganlove #saba #vegan #food #blogger #❤️ #🌱 #وگان #وگانیسم #گیاهخوار

Have you compared the choice to be a paying customer of factory farm food with other animal issues that you find morally reprehensible? (Note: According to USDA statistics, over 99% of animals used for food in the United States come from factory farms.) For example, are you appalled by the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, the 10-day annual celebration in China at which up to 15,000 dogs are eaten? Are you against dog fighting? Or animal experimentation? Or animals used in circuses? How can it be wrong to harm animals for pleasure and profit in some cases but not others? Do you consider yourself an animal lover? Do you become upset when you find out that a cat or dog has suffered and died due to neglect or abuse? Could you kill an animal yourself? Is there an ethical or practical difference between committing an act of violence yourself and paying someone else to do it for you? Have you ever watched the standard “humane” treatment and slaughter of farm animals? These are difficult questions, and the tendency is to just not think about them. But the truth is that animal agriculture causes hundreds of billions of sweet, gentle animals to die having only known lives of agony and torture. Most of them never see the sun, or have the ability to turn around for their entire lives, before being brutally slaughtered with no pain relief.   • Vegan mushroom ravioli by the incredible @biancazapatka 😍 Never fails to impress! Recipe 👇 - Ingredients (2 servings) * 300 g vegan ravioli (or other pasta/ gnocchi, cooked & drained) - if you want to make your own see below * 1 onion * 1 garlic clove * 250 g mushrooms * 2 tbsp olive oil * salt & pepper * 3-4 tbsp pine nuts * 150 g fresh spinach * 2-3 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes (optional) . Directions: 1. Peel onion and cut into strips. 2. Peel garlic and chop. 3. Clean mushrooms and slice. 4. Heat up oil in a pan and roast ravioli for about 5 minutes each side. 5. Add garlic, onions and mushrooms and roast for 5-10 more minutes until goldenbrown and crispy. Season with salt and pepper. 6. In the meantime toast pine nuts in another pan without oil. 7. Serve your roasted ravioli with toasted pine nuts, fresh spinach (or other greens) and sprinkle, if desired, nutritional yeast flakes on top. . Ravioli Hearts: * 200g flour * 100ml water * 1 tsp olive oil * 1/4 tsp salt . Directions: 1. First combine flour and salt in a bowl and form a hollow in the middle. 2. Mix water and olive oil in another bowl. Then pour it into the hollow of the flour and stir with a fork. 3. Place the mixture on a floured surface and knead with wet hands to a smooth dough. 4. Then form a ball out of the dough, wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for about 1 hour. 5. In the meantime, prepare the filling or pesto. 6. Remove the dough from the fridge and roll out thinly with a rolling pin on a floured surface. 7. Cut out hearts. 8. Then spread the filling with a teaspoon as a walnut-sized blob in the middle of half the amount of the noodle hearts . 9. Then moisten the edges of the stuffed pasta hearts with wet fingers. Carefully place the second pasta heart over the filled heart and press the edges. 10. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot and cook the ravioli for about 6-8 minutes. 11. Then remove the ravioli with a skimmer and drain well. 12. You can serve the ravioli just cooked, for example with a "tomato sauce" or roast them in a pan with some oil or vegan butter until crispy.

  • I shared this quote from @mrsmombastic on my insta story last week and just wanted to share it again as it resonates with me so much💕I remember when Elijah was just a tiny baby I was so shocked that everyone seemed so interested in how long he was sleeping for, whether he was falling asleep independently, when I was going to start sleep-training him etc. My instinct was always just to snuggle him, hold him tight and embrace those warm, milky cuddles for as long as I could👶From the moment he was born and for as long as he needs me I will ALWAYS cuddle him when he asks for me, lay with him when he needs comfort, and do everything I can to make sure he feels safe and loved. I will never leave him in a room to cry alone at night, never. Sure my 3 year old doesn’t sleep through the night, but he’s happy, confident, absolutely adored and he knows that if he ever feels scared I’ll come running to him without hesitation❤️

  • 🍄 Not every meal I have has shrooms 🍄 Even though the mushrooms we typically have access to are quite safe and full of nutritional benefits we still need every other colour on our plates too. You'd really have to eat a lot of them to cause some sort of negative effect but if you ingest some toxic ones, then you will probably feel something not so good after 20min-4hrs. It's always about maintaining balance, under/over do it with anything and it will very likely unsettle something in your body, mind or environment. There have been times when I have given in to food/actions/thoughts that I knew would affect me, so has everyone else. And even though it is hard to not then be hard on one's self this is completely natural and okay and only by embracing and accepting it as part of it journey can we make progression. 🖐🏼📸Hand model @viojagger

Deze gezonde chocolade mousse is geen straf tijdens de bikinibody challenge! En hij is ook nog eens supergezond! Missie geslaagd dus! Ik wens jullie een hele fijne avond! Ik geniet nog even van dit schaaltje met overheerlijke gezonde chocolade mousse met avocado en banaan! Tip! Heb je geen blikje kokosmelk in huis, dan kun je natuurlijk ook elke andere (plantaardige) melk gebruiken. Houdt er alleen rekening mee dat je gezonde chocolade mousse dan een stukje ‘dunner’ kan uitvallen. Maar dat betekent niet dat het minder lekker is! Ingrediënten: * 1 avocado, * 1 grote banaan, * handje blauwe bessen, * 200 ml ‘romige’ kokosmelk (uit blik), * 30 gram (rauwe) cacao poeder, * eventueel een paar druppeltjes stevia Bereidingstijd: 5 minuten. Bereidingswijze gezonde chocolade mousse: 1. Snijd de avocado doormidden, langs de pit, en draai de twee helften van elkaar. Verwijder de pit, kerf een ruitjespatroon op het vruchtvlees en lepel het vruchtvlees uit de schil.  Pel de banaan en breek deze in grove stukken. Was de blauwe bessen en laat uitlekken. 2. Stop alle ingredienten in de blender (of hoge kom en gebruik een staafmixer) en mix alles goed door tot je een stevige mousse hebt. 3. Schep de gezonde chocolade mousse in een kommetje en garneer eventueel met wat extra blauwe bessen en noten of zaden. 4. Pas op dat je je lepel er niet bij opeet!
