  • Heute ist Tag 12 der #gymshark66 challenge. Das heißt 1/6 ist schon geschafft. Aber was mache ich eigentlich genau in dieser challenge? Die „Rahmenbedingungen“ sind ja nicht eindeutig. Meinen Alltag wieder etwas mehr so zu gestalten, dass er mir gut tut ist für mich eine riesige Herausforderung. Wenn ich alles auf einmal in den Blick nehme, fühle ich mich wieder überfahren. Deswegen breche ich das erstmal in mehrere kleinere Ziele. Hierzu zählen kleinere und größere Veränderungen, die sich körperlich und mental positiv auswirken sollen. Folgende Dinge möchte ich während der Gymshark66 challenge ändern bzw. den Grundstein legen: 1. Sport soll wieder zu meinem Alltag gehören und mir einen Ausgleich bieten. Ich liebe Krafttraining, aber in meiner Letargie ist es ein richtiger Kraftakt geworden mich ins Studio zu schleppen 2. Trinken! Ich habe mir angewöhnt, quasi ausschließlich von SchwipSchwap zu leben. Das ist alles andere als gut und gesund. Erstmal will ich wieder jede Tag mindestens 1L Wasser trinken und mich langsam steigern. 3. Bewegung im Alltag! Es gab im letzten halben Jahr Tage, da habe ich nicht mal 1000 Schritte am Tag gemacht. Manchmal ist es ein Kraftakt überhaupt aus dem Bett auf zu stehen, aber wenn man sich nicht Bewegt und dem Hirn keine visuellen Reize liefert, kann man aus seinem Trott fast nicht raus kommen. 10.000 Schritte am Tag ist das Ziel. 4. Lebensfreude. Das ist das große Ziel. Wieder dahin zurück finden wo ich mich selbst mochte. Ich denke dazu gehört, mich wieder mehr mit Dingen zu beschäftigen, die ich gerne mag. Wieder regelmäßig reiten gehen, ab und an im die Therme zu fahren, wieder mehr zu lesen und meine Freunde zu sehen. All das musste der „Priorität Arbeit“ weichen. Denn wer 4h am Tag für seinen Job im Zug sitzt, „hat keine Zeit“.

  • Well breakfast today certainly wouldn't win a beauty competition but it was v tasty. Although I will say, whoever said porridge fills you up til lunch was bloody liar. I lasted about 50 minutes before hitting the fruit stash. I swear man. I've eaten more apples and oranges in the 2 weeks I've been on SW than I've eaten in the last year combined. This was 40g oats using my HEXB and one of my HEXA's on skimmed milk. I topped it with frozen raspberries because it takes the absolute Michael how much fresh raspberries cost. I made a fresh batch of Bolognese last night using the recipe Lizzy used when she made it me last Friday, so I'm currently counting down the minutes until it's socially acceptable for me to microwave that bad boy. ALSO I was a bit uncomfortable last night at group when the use of the phrase 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels' was encouraged as a motivational tool. I don't like that...I can't help but feel it encourages massively disordered eating and control issues around food. Be as healthy as you can, sure, but that includes your mental health too. Don't spend your life aspiring to be a hungry, miserable waif just because skinny is seen as the superior body type. Its not. All bodies are good bodies. I don't know, man. I need to flesh this train of thought out a bit, but I'll never stand by as people overtly contribute to the notion that fat people are not as good as skinny people. I'm all for encouraging a healthy body and mindset, but I'm also all for encouraging a massive Chinese on a Friday night with you family, or drinking one too many pints and telling your best friend you love them, or a bag of maltesers in the cinema. That shit, done occaaionally whilst balanced with healthy choices the majority of the time will always taste better to me than being a size 6 will ever feel.

I Have a feeling I’m gonna cross over into the 300s in bench this year. The hardest part of this session was how cold this gym was. I have on a turtleneck and sweats and I’m still freezing lol.
