My husband is still in the hospital and I always stay with him in the hospital when he's admitted. Between the stress, hourly nurse/doctor visits, and the uncomfortable guest bed, I've had a hard time sleeping so I have tried to put my insomnia to good use through painting. #stronglikebear

Feeling “grounded” and enlightened after reading @angemillerart newest blog! Jump on over and give it a read!! I have been one of those artists trying to fit in with the trends but it’s just not me, I feel like I don’t fit in any box but my own!! ❤️❤️❤️ I have a gazillion canvases just sitting there, I haven’t sold a painting since mid last year, it’s so disheartening and makes me question absolutely everything I do, I guess that’s where the whole “trending art” comes in to confuse the shit out of me and I try to change my art in the hopes others will buy it, but it hasn’t worked and I’m completely honest in saying that as well!! I think we all just want acceptance and to fit in! Especially with all these big art sharing accounts who only seem to share all the “trending artists” but what I am actually doing is hindering my process and my own path! Ang has totally hit the nail on the head in her blog!! It’s so true! Every single word!! I don’t want to live someone else’s dream or follow a trend! So this painting was going to be something completely not me until I read the blog! So what did I do?
