My part of an art trade with @wolfygirl484
Sorry for taking almost 3 WEEKS TO DO THIS ah I enjoyed it though. At first I wasn't satisfied with it but I'm glad I pulled through and finished it!! Thank you for trading with me and being so patient with me
It may sound weird but this is my 3 year olds fave! It's a big canvas painting hanging on the wall that he asks every day "mommy you paint this? I love it" uummm heart melt.
Gotta love dem feels
Original is watercolor.
:::. last summer i moved back to new york city after living abroad in asia for a few years. last december, during a subway transfer in my morning commute, there was a bomb that went off in port authority tunnel and stirred up panic in the station, people racing in all different directions on the platform. i wrote this poem a few days after. i was so shaken up and i changed my morning commute. i still jump at loud noises on subways, sudden movements on the streets. living back in new york city after years of living in the relatively safe haven that is asia has made me value my profession and responsibility as a teacher even more. compassion, love, and empathy starts from the ground up — from the very beginnings of life. call me an idealist but while i recognize that the change i make will happen one kid at a time, over time, i also believe the love i hope to generate will transcend generations. ▲ @lydiafalls_
