The 5 beautiful belguim Icons on a row, 5 airbus Brussels Airlines A320 aircrafts in a Belgium touch special livery.
This is the first time that all 5 aircrafts displayed next to each other for a nice photo moment.
Let's hope that there will be a 6th one!! Small comment of the 5 aircraft on a row:
OO-SNA - 'Trident' painted in 2016, mostly all Belgium football player are painted on a red background, the nickname of the Belgium football players are "the red devils" that's why it's fully red
OO-SNB - 'Rachham' painted in 2015,
This was the first one paint in a special livery. This one is to honor Hergé, the creator of Tin Tin, on this aircraft is a submarine shark painted based on the comic strip; Red Rackham's treasure.
OO-SNC - 'Margritte' painted in 2016, based on the famous Belgium art painter Margritte, on this aircraft a mixture of his creations are shown.
OO-SND - 'Aerosmurfs' painted in 2018, the latest of the special paint family. Fully painted in one of the most popular children figures "the Smurfs"
OO-SNF - 'Amare' painted in 2017
This special paint is together with the OO-SNC a kind of special. This is because most of this livery is painted with airbrush, so no preprinted template of taped lines. On Amare, you see on both sides a bird in all different colors, this bird symbols the freedom. Freedom is one of the keyword of the world biggest festival Tomorrowland
I have no favourite, I like them all!!
What's your favourite special paint?
10 years since the Miracle on the Hudson.
I read an article about the crash that was actually focused on the data backup services one customer had and how the company got his business backup and running within a day.
But the passenger shared a brief story of the crash saying it all seemed fairly calm and the professionalism of the cabin crew was phenomenonal. He said he only became unnerved when they gave the brace brace brace command, because they changed from their calm demeanour, and were shouting, in unison, almost like a choir: "BRACE, BRACE, BRACE, HEADS DOWN, STAY DOWN. BRACE, BRACE, BRACE, HEADS DOWN, STAY DOWN."
Hearing the energy and tone of the their commands was what made it feel real for him, so different from how cabin crew normally speak of course. He praised their professionalism completely, and wasn't criticising them. He just thought it interesting that that was what had unnerved him, not the previous warnings of the imminent water landing.
So glad everyone survived.

Today is the 10th Anniversary of UsAirways flight 1549. On January 15th, 2009 a UsAirways Airbus A320 took off from LaGuardia International Airport NewYork City. The flight was scheduled to make a stop over in Charlotte Douglas International Airport, before continuing on to Seattle Tacoma its final destination. After take off from LaGuardia (LGA) the Airbus A320 encountered a flock of Canada Geese, that caused two of the Geese to hit the engines causing the plane to loose both engines. The bird strike crippled the aircrafts engines. Captain Sully Sullenberger decided to ditch the crippled aircraft into the Hudson River as he could not return to LGA safely. Captain Sullenberger managed through sheer luck landed the A320 on the Hudson saving all 155 people on board. This incident will forever be known as the “Miracle On The Hudson.”
