Can you spot the tent on the right? These shots from Norway make me want to book a ticket! Tag a friend who would climb the peak on the right 🙈

Empowered Women Empower Women. I truly believe a big part of success and happiness as a woman is when women support and help each other. It should never be a competition but always an opportunity to grow together.
We hope you’re having yourselves the merriest little Christmas, snuggled up with people you love. 🌲⠀

"Wilderness is not a luxury, but a necessity of the human spirit." — Edward Abbey
Our philosophy is built partially on the mentality that wilderness and access to Nature is a necessity, not a privilege. In 1984, famed Harvard biologist and conservationist E. O. Wilson published a book. He titled it Biophilia, a term he popularized to describe his hypothesis that humans possess an innate desire of affinity for connections with nature and other forms of life. The growing disconnect with new generations and nature concerned him, and the notion has slowly gained traction since.
Today, the crisis of spending too much time indoors and not enough time outdoors has a name: Nature Deficit Disorder. Though it's not a real or official disorder, it aptly describes the situation we now face in the industrialized world. Quality interaction and play with the environment during development years is critical for the maturation of social, critical, and physical skills and behaviors, and is necessary to foster a love for Nature.
Children learn from different perspectives than adults do, so in a world where children move further indoors spending more time in front of artficially-lit screens, this matter is concerning. While it may seem that the current group of young- to middle-aged adults is vocal and attentive to environmental issues, the fundamental understanding that serves as the referential, experiental backbone for the movement may be lacking in up-and-coming age groups.
You may be wondering how this is relevant to you. Spending time in Nature is beneficial for anyone's well-being. Recent studies show that spending time in city green spaces can provide similar benefits to getting out in the wild. Not everyone has access, and no one 'deserves' access, but it is critical to our existential well being. So, whenever possible, opt to go outside.

#WWTTY | Where Will TOTEM Take You?
“I can still remember the exact moment I decided I wanted to die. I was 12-years-old and my family was driving home from church on a cold winter day.” I Said Yes To Living: A Story About Finding Hope is about the journey I went through with depression and suicide when I was younger. My camera is broken and I’m really missing night shooting right now, but I’m cuddled up in bed with my favorite little dingo. The only thing missing is the third member of our pack. @colorado_mountain_adventures we miss you!
If a small spring can produce a waterfall such as this, how much more can our actions impact the world around us?⠀
Would you believe me if I told you the stream that produces this waterfall is narrower than the length of my boot? You could stop the flow of water with a bucket, yet here we are, admiring it’s flow. How incredible would it be if we viewed our actions in this same light? The subtle changes we make to improve will give us sucess in the long run. Let’s keep this perspective in our minds as we start making plans for the upcoming year! ✌️⠀
I can’t believe it has been 3 years already since I moved here! I know I’m going to be happy wherever life takes me. My happiness has nothing to do with where I am now 🙂 “Life is a constant movement. Whenever the flow stops, there is death. All full stops belong to death; Life is unaware of any full stop.” —Osho
28th October 2018: weather beaten at Kala pathar summit.
Was in two minds last night of I wanted to trek to Kala pathar the next morning at 5AM.
Thanks Vinod for showing up early in the morning with your big smile and attitude, which left no doubt that I had to trek up.
We started trekking at 5:15am and as per Vinod (in the picture with me) it was -20 degrees at Gorakshep and -30 degrees centigrade at Kala pathar summit.
All in all, an incredible trek. In the pictures: Kala pathar summit and Pumori (the white mountain) behind it, Mt. Everest, views from Kala pathar summit, and a weather beaten me with Vinod.
Having trouble holiday shopping for your loved ones? We got you. Get them what will be the most comfortable and legendary shirt in their arsenal. Massive discounts on our products, including out T Shirts for only $15 (originally $25). Check the store by clicking the link in the bio👍🏼👍🏼
As fake as this photo looks, I and one other could tell you it was exactly as it shows. The day was finally over. The warm red rock began to cool as the sun eased its way down. This very moment, after a long day of traveling the dirt roads of Southern Utah, was now where we’d rest for the night.
This fictional paradise that I once dreamt of was now a reality set it motion. The reason I began #vanlife was for this reason here. Not a soul in sight, not a sound heard, just an image. An image that hasn’t changed for thousands of years, but at the end of each day can change someone forever.

Raise your hand if you need more hours in the day🙋🏼♀️ With the Canada Post strike and the backlog of packages I’m trying to get as many packages out ASAP. I’ve been so inactive on here which totally sucks but I keep having to remind myself I’m only one human and I can only do so much! 😪 Also how freakin’ rad does our Castle Canyon collar look with the yellow @rexspecsk9 ?! 😱😍

Travel brings power and love back into your life
“Few places in this world are more dangerous than home. Fear not, therefore, to try the mountain passes. They will kill care, save you from deadly apathy, set you free, and call forth every faculty into vigorous, enthusiastic action.” -John Muir
