Lockhandwala is an Indian Tapas Restaurant located on Charlotte Street, London. This restaurant is modelled after the Colonial British architecture and their menu brings traditional Indian staples with a twist in tapas form.
To start with the Tikki @lokhandwala_uk was delicious. Potato croquettes with green peas, topped with sweet yoghurt, tamarind and mint chutney was delectable. How nice is it to have a savoury dish complimented with sweet flavours.
The Dosa Cone with masala potatoes, coconut chutney and sambhar had great tasting flavours and was very palatable.
The Prawns were nice and juicy and had honey and mustard dressing which I couldn't really taste, so It would have been nice to have more. The green chutney It was swrved with was nice. It's just a shame the prawns didn't stay too warm for very long after they were served.
The Chicken Chettinad was bursting with flavour especially as it contains 18 Different spices and was very flavourful. This went perfectly with the plain naan.
The Mocktails that were ordered weren't to my liking and I was disappointed with as I didn't enjoy any of the flavours. I was kindly offered an alternative to replace these.
