From: @danisweightlossjrny It’s been officially 11 months since I started my weight loss journey! 🎉 I’m down almost 150lbs and feel like a new person. I’ve always let my weight be an excuse to hold me back from basically everything. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life because I’m actually living my life. I know I sound like a fucking broken record but it is so much more than the number on the scale!! I’ve been able to learn so more about myself this past year and not to sound like a cocky ass bitch but damn I’m kinda dope as hell lmao.  Anyways, sorry for the cheesy rants I’m just beaming looking at these pics. It’s one of the most common exercises that I see done poorly in the gym, So here’s a few cues that I like to tell myself to keep my core engaged and prevent any load dumping into my lower back. . . ✅ Round out upper back and tuck in your tail bone. ✅ Keep glutes activated by squeezing them. ✅Shift the entire body forward (not just from the arms) until you reach YOUR full range of movement. ✅ Contract your core to pull you in while keeping your back rounded. ✅ Remember quality reps over quantity! At that time, I didn't even know what calisthenics is all about. After a few sessions with Mat, I decided to sign up for the class as he is such a wonderful coach that understands where I am coming from as a crossfitter, and my calisthenics journey begins with Mat. Today is my first day back to calisthenics after my bunion surgery. I have no doubt he will be the best coach to turn to for gaining my confidence back to get back to calisthenics

A year ago I envisioned and prayed so much to have the opportunity to meet her one day, to have a purposeful way of my time, and be in her company. A year later, she walks into the meeting and I am so close to her. As nervous and shocked I was, I wanted to cry from happiness, humbled with her and honoured. Shaking, yet putting myself together I said ‘Hi, Im Sumeyye from Green Crescent Australia’ she shook my hand, and holded it as we we’re speaking, she was genuine, loving, humble and most important connected with me. My heart felt so fuzzy! It was a warm welcome to @1920yesilay and I know she meets thousands and millions of people all over the world, yet, she was genuine and warm. Joining the global family of @1920yesilay ‘Green Crescent’ to fight against addictions, and empower individuals with the knowledge, skills, love and support is just outstanding, and so worthy of my time and energy. I cannot imagine being anywhere else! I was also blessed by sitting right behind her in the meeting room, kept laughing to myself of how is this even possible subhanallah! I’m excited! And pumped to work hard to advocate, and support my community and Australia work together to get them out of the dark, and take forward steps iA.
