I hope your year is off to a slammin’ start, speaking of, how are you doing with your goals for 2019? We’re a couple weeks deep into January and this is typically when stuff starts to slip a little and before ya know it you’re completely off track...
Re-commit today and narrow down your scope if need be. It’s a super common mistake to take on too much, feel overwhelmed and then give up on everything. Instead you may want to set the bar lower and focus on small daily, weekly and monthly wins which will keep your momentum rolling and really add up over time!
Personally one of my primary goals this year is to become fluent in Spanish. I’ve been fantasizing about learning the language since high school where I took it for 2 years and straight up shit the bed in the effort department.
Here’s how I’d recommend approaching your goal(s):
1. Write them down and be SPECIFIC
2. Break them down and set mini-deadlines (include the HOW here)
3. Have someone or something to hold you accountable
4. Re-assess along the way
5. Celebrate your wins
👉🏾 If you’d like a more detailed breakdown around goal setting, have a listen to Episode 12 of the podcast titled ‘Goal Setting 101: The Simple 5-Step Process.’
Oh and speaking of accountability, feel free to share your goal below for the added ‘social accountability’ factor 🙋🏽♂️
Cute little candid from the snow because I miss it so much. And also, this is the last snow photo for a while! I promise. I’ll have some of @marianobaltazarr’s coming very soon. 😉 x |
I love exercises like this one- no need for it to be complex, less = more ! 🤩📈 I’m having Sharon focus on externally rotating her scapula in a closed chain position while utilizing the wall. This position changes her relationship to gravity, which is what makes it super difficult! 🙃 By shifting her weight (50%) from side to side, she creates an isometric contraction and uses the concept of joint centration! 🤯This shiiiit is way harder than it looks!!💪🏽👍🏽
2019 is here! 🙌🏻
